I had this layout shared on Craftwell Scrappin' Friday blog post. This layout
is actually inspired by the background of my photo - the grid play mat that my
baby boy lying on. I look at the picture and decided to make a layout with
grids and square of pink, blue and yellow (shades that picked up from the
photo).
I gathered a
few pieces of papers in pink, blue and yellow color then trim them down to a
number 2'x2' squares. Then I embossed the squares with a few embossing folders
from Lifestyle Crafts and Cuttebug. Once the square are done I just lay the
square in grid style and decorate accordingly. I added sentiments (with
alphabet die cuts from Memory Box) to some of the squares. For the quite
squares I stroke a layer of Distress Paints with my fingers to create some
colors and textures.
I am loving all the textures show on
the layout. I have used a total of 5 embossing folders on this layout (which is
quite a lot for me). Let's challenge yourself to do a grid layout with a few
embossing folders too! Thanks for looking!
