Citrus Twist Kits is teaming with The Crafter's Workshop this month for a blog hop and giveaways. We are celebrating the launch of Citrus Twist Kit's Design Girl, Jen Boumis's, Life Bits stencils. It all started with Jen's wonderful, handwritten style (that you Pocket Lifer's got to enjoy with our exclusively designed PL stamps this summer) teaming with The Crafter's Workshop owner Jaime Echt to create fabulous and fun 3 x 4 stencils for TCW.

Here are some of the results of that TCW/Jen Boumis partnership.

The blog hop begins on September 9th, and continues on Mondays and Wednesdays in September through the 23rd. Some of our Pocket Life Design Girls--Jen Boumis, April Joy Hill and WaiSam Ho--are joining with The Crafter's Workshop Design Team members--[Ronda Palazzari and Julie Fei-Fan Balzer]--to share how they are using these wonderful little Life Bits stencils, perfect for life's little projects. Citrus Twist Kits

We'll draw a name from all the people who leave a comment on the Citrus Twist Kits blog each day of the hop and will give away one stencil each day of the hop.

On today's blog hop we are featuring the creative ways the design team members used of 'The Good Life' Stencil. 

Here's my take:
1) I love love using the Life Bits stencils with molding paste. Love the texture and love how subtle it looks tone-on-tone on the card. For this particular card, I was brave enough to use the stencil with molding paste on my photo. P.S. if you read the journalling below, 'botak' means bald in Malay language.

2) I use Uniball Signo Broad White to draw with the stencil. It didn't show up much on the light color patterned paper, so I use sewing machine to stitch around the border and added some black distress marker on the phrase. When using white gel pen to trace, you gotta go slow else it wouldn't look nice.

3) I misted with Mister Huey but decided I only want to keep the phrase so I trimmed it down to a little banner and stitched it on the card.
