It's all started with....

I have just relocated to Singapore and it's all started with the Paper Market deal that I stumble upon Groupon. I bought a total 7 of the voucher hoping that my husband would attend one start class with me. Dream on! Ethan only uses scissors to open a pack of chips. I ended up using all the class vouchers myself at Paper Market & Laine's Papeterie. From then on I have been a scrapaholic who would rather spend hundreds dollar on my scrapbook supply than expanding my wardrobe.

My Paper Market Class Voucher

I started this blog to share my scrapbooking and crafting journey, and hopefully I would pick up my crochet hooks again to crochet some new amigurumi dolls. My creation of amigurumi can be viewed on my Facebook album. I have been a big fans of paper craft and been making cards on and off for friends and family for birthdays, christmas, wedding, Valentine's day and also anniversaries. And I have also gotten some StazOn ink pads when Ethan went for his US trips as I was really into rubber stamp carving previously. I have also visited Laine's in Singapore two years ago and bought some scrapbook papers just for making cards as I had no idea what scrapbooking is.

Well, enough of my rant, let's get back to scrapbooking shall we?

My very first LO which was completed during my Start Class with Merdrey
Product used: Authentique Paper collection, Tim Holtz Year.o.graphy Collection, American Craft Thickers - Amy Tangerine "Hello" in Truffle.

Initially I was kinda indecisive between scrapping the pictures for our lil' outing to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) or some snapshots of our ROM in Spet 2011. After I have found the Authentique paper that matched my USS pictures perfectly, I decided to scrap my very first layout using the USS pics. The little madagascar penguins were cut out painstaking from one of the picture I have taken. Not much of layering been done as I had no idea how to pop things up using foam dots and the whole idea was just sticking the pictures and title down!

Absolutely adore the Thickers by Amy Tangerine - Hello in Truffle

Some bon bon ribbon (what do they call this?) that I gotten from the class.

I learn that we have to mat the photos with color-coordinating card stock, scrapbook supplies are preferably acid free & lignin-free and how-to select matching / coordinating papers. Oh ya, I also had so much fun looking through the stash to find suitable embellishments like brads, chipboard and label stickers.

Little did I know that scrapbooking is an expensive and addictive hobby and my supplies are gradually piling up. I think Ethan is gonna get a heart attack when he looks at the credit card bill and how I stack those supplies in our house. Two weeks later, I got my brand new paper trimmer & precision-cut scisscors. And my scrapbook journey goes on by attending workshops & getting my inspiration feeds from various blogs and website. And more to come!

Thanks for stopping by. Tata!
