I Love You A Bushel & A Peck

Again, when I was browsing Pinterest for some inspiration for scrapping my next layout, something caught my eyes.

Source: Pinterest

I made the cut file and uploaded it to my instagram. Someone told me it's a song. So I googled and realized that this is such a cute song to tell someone I Love You A Lot ;)
You can download the cut file here. The font I am using is KG The Last Time (from DaFont)

Again, me and my cameo is inseparable. I am loving the huge title for my layouts currently. The blue-green-yellow impasto is a new technique I learn from Wilna F's video tutorial in 2peas. Mixing acrylic paint & tacky glue to create this thick and shiny texture. I have this random photos of Ethan printed for a long time and have no idea what to do with it.

I actually cut the title twice because my ink splatters was all over the title and did't quite like how it turn out. I would prefer to have messy background but clean title. So I layered another title to create more dimension.

Still using my bits and pieces from Studio Calico January kit. Yikes, I didn't kill much of my kits after using it for 3 12x12 layouts and 2 PL spreads. Maybe its my habits of just using random bits of patterned papers here n there. But I do use a lot of embellishment from these lovely kits.

And these are my random photos of the day:

Ding Dong! And its a happy mail!!! I won the RAK goodies from Jaime Leija (paperheARTproject).
I was thinking of that cute typewriter wood veneers the night before and I got it today! Lotsa stamps and American Crafts goodies that make me a happy girl today.

And then someone turn her bed into a war zone.

She looks pretty innocent here right? She is the face behind the crime scene. Yikes.... I guess that's part and parcel of having a puppy huh? yea... she is only 11 months old.

I made some easy-peasy Soy milk with lotus seed dessert today. They say it's good for skin and I hope it helps my pregnancy acne!

Love love my husband who woke up early in the morning make me some yummy ABC soup (my favorite potatoes, carrots and tomatoes soup). Yumm!!

Toothpaste?

Guess what we have here?

Toothpaste with minty flavor?

The good ol' Colgate?

Noooo! You are wrong! They are watercolor in tube!

Watercolor in red

Oh no... Someone left the cap off >_<

And these two are my watercolor paintings for my previous children book illustration class at NAFA.
An apple dog inspired by the famous Pandapple
Watercolor painting is not so difficult after all and it helps relaxing =)

Another drawing inspired by my teacher. I love how the little doggie turned out. We didn't use watercolor during our first class, he taught us paint using batik paint and also food coloring which gives a slightly more vibrant effect than the watercoloring.

More crochet & amigurumi projects will be posted soon! XoXo =)

Love Concoction

We went for Cocktail class for beginners one of the weekend and i scrapped 2 layouts the very next day. Just wanted a very very simple layout to house all the pics that I took during the class.

Love the pie stamps in the July Kit. So pretty and versatile! For some stupid reasons, my Cameo isn't working very well thus I hand-cut the "LOVE" word using pen knife. I guess it turn out awesome too =) I adore every embellies in the July kit to bits... the birdie wood veneer, the stamps, the flags and the papers are all so pretty!

I want to add some mixed-media technique to this particular layout dedicated for my scrappy - stamping buddy, Cheryl. She pretty much adore mixed media techniques in her layout while I always prefer my layout to be clean and tidy.

I didn't know what to deal with the acrylic paint so I just splashed a huge amount of white acrylic paint on the papers and used a paint brush to spread it rather un-evenly. Then dry it with heat gun until it created some bubbles due to the thick layer of paint.

The speech bubbles are die cut from using silhouette file from the Studio Calico classes.

Love the flower embellies to bits. and also the two thickers in the kit. ❤❤❤

Oh... did I mention I love the woodgrain papers to bits too? It is slightly thicker than the normal white card stock and the woodgrain print on it is subtle but makes a huge difference to the texture of the layout.

I stamp the title with Stepping Stone alphas and embossed with white embossing powder. Splash some mist using my paint brush. Love how the woodgrain print showed up on the background.

The sunburst hexagon stamps is one of my new have nowadays.

Misting and cutting and stamping —> makes this layout one of my FAVE of the month!

More and more layouts plus mini albums to be shared soon! And guess what? I am meeting up with one of my scrappy girly tomorrow to learn rubber stamp carving. I am sooooo excited now! Thanks for looking =)
