For My Bestie & A Punny Card

I am gonna share 3 cards in this post. After making a few layouts and having terrible backache, I decided to make some cards instead. Making cards are less time consuming and it's definitely easier to whip up a stack of cards in 1~2 hours if you are a fast scrapper. But this is not the case for me. I normally take an hour or two to finish a very simple card. Maybe it's just me, I am slow but truly enjoying the process.

Card 1: For my bestie, Mely (whom I nicknamed her Smelly Melly)
This card is made using Card Positioning Systems sketch #254. This is my second time making a card by following a sketch, I guess it really made the card-making process much easier too.

This is the sketch and please click here to view the awesome submissions by the DT & scrappers around the world.

The Card says: You are the best FRIEND anyone could possibly have (Using My Mind's Eye - Miss Caroline stamp set)
but Ethan read is as: You are FRIEND... and he's stuck there. hahaha

I decorated inside of the card too. Love those cute birds.

Card 2: A Punny Birthday Card
This card id inspired by Cas-ual Fridays Challenge: Jest For The Pun Of It. I am a tad too late to play along with challenge but I still had a lot of fun putting this card together.

The ice cream says: U don't look old, just a little melted. This card is inspired by a card that I found via Google image but I couldn't find the link now.

Can't help taking another picture of this cute punny card. The ice cream doesn't look like it's melted here, it just looks a tad sweaty to me >_<

I dolled-up inside of the card too! Just in case the recipient didn't get my punny joke that this is a Birthday card.

*Both Card 1 & 2 are made using Artful Delight's February scrapbook kit.

Card 3: A Robot card for Daddy
It was my dad's birthday on last Saturday and I made him a robot birthday card. Why? I have a super geeky daddy who loves all the latest smart phones, tablets, gadgets etc... He even has a range of remote control cars and helicopter. How cool is my beloved daddy =)

Beep...Beep... You've received a card.
I use KaiserKraft 'On The Move' paper pads & Technologic Clear Stamps for this card. My favorite part of the card would be the Glitter Stickles speech bubbles. Love how glittery it has turned out!

BEeep...Happy Birthday to you!
The barcode stamp actually says : Boys will be boys.I just noticed that after I've stamped it on the card but I guess it is kinda applicable here. My dad is actually a 'big boy' who refuses to grow up and enjoys playing toys (remote control cars and all the gadgets). I think he quite likes the card after we've written some birthday wishes in Mandarin inside of the card, and guess what? He couldn't read mandarin at all.

Thanks for looking. Do leave me a comment so that I could return visit to your blog too! XoXo.
