Some friends actually asked me normally how do I start smash*ing my pages....
I started by gathering my supplies:
Washi tapes (which is a must for every page),
photos & instax,
ink pads, date stamps, stamps
memorabilia (like brochure, coaster, tags , tickets etc),
adhesive ( i still prefer tape glue / dot glue than the glue pen that comes with the book),
Scissors,
pens (i always use Sakura aqua lip, Uniball and Zig Wink of Stella (love these glitter pens),
Paper trimmer (not shown here) and then... a SMASH* book of course.
I organized my photos in stacks to for different pages. My Smash* book is now part of my Project Life.
Trying to arrange the photos... like how I started doing a 12x12 layout
Started by stamping the coaster from PS. Cafe & sticking it down with Washi tapes. I love this white pages as I can go wild with multicolor washi tapes. I decided to stick to blue-green-aqua color scheme for this 2-pages spread.
I always complete the page in less than 1 hour by just 'anyhow' sticking photos & memorabilia down and layer with washi tapes. Then I either stamp some sentiments or doodle my own feelings / journalling. Its pretty quick and easy eh?
Told you... I love using Zig Winks of Stella to add colors to my pages.
I also like to use UNI-Style Fit in Black & Brown to write on the washi tapes.
Smash pads & Stickies make journalling easier...
Once I have decided the placement of the photos, I will just stick them down.... without any hesitation. Polka Dots tapes are the new black!
....
.
Layer some washi tapes
.
Add my journaling
.
And ta-dah... I'm done!
A weekend brunch is smash*ed under an hours! Isn't that awesome?
