I am loving project life at the moment. It does take me 4~5 hours from choosing photos, printing photos, cutting papers, adding embellishment, stamping and finally some journaling. Yea... the 2-page weekly spread took the same amount of time that I require for completing a layout but I am still loving the process. Because I could scrap around 10 − 12 photos in a week under relatively short amount of time. I think making the title card is the most time consuming part of the spread and follow by picking / editing photos.
I have added more pink / yellow (to substitute for red / gold) in this weekly spread because we are celebrating Chinese New Year this month. Using lots of Amy Tangerine 'Ready Set Go' collection and Dear Lizzy '5th & Frolic' collection here.
I find that the Amy T collection is too bright for my liking so I spread a layer of gesso to tone it down. Very mixed media & colorful spread for this week ;)
I can't imagine how would my weekly spreads look like without those doggies photo. Yea... dogs are big part of my daily life at the moment. I also like how I fit 3 horizontal photos into two 4x6 pockets by cutting one of the photos into half.
A weekly summary hidden under one of the flaps.
And good news, I have completed my Week 7 spread too! Will be sharing them soon and now I may purchase Wilna F's class on 2peas and off to do a layout for our Valentine's day. Thanks for looking, XoXo.

ReplyDeleteYou're so inspirational. I adore your project life pages. Can I ask how you do your flap pockets, do you cut up other page protectors?
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra. Thanks for the sweet comments. I only use Washi tapes to attach the extra flaps. And you can only insert the cards into one side of the sleeves, so I mainly add my flaps either on the top of sleeve with opening or right page of my spread. I am tempted to try cutting another opening for the sleeve on the left page though :)
