Planner | Stretch Your Daisy Day Planner Pages with Planner Stickers

Hello everyone! I received my Daisy Day Planner May kit around first week of May so I didn't use it for any daily / weekly planning for May. Instead, I want to show you how I stretch the Daisy Day Planner pages to use them for planning for work. I normally use A5 sized planner for my work but I have recent gotten this LV agenda MM sized (equivalent to Filofax personal sized) as Mother's Day present. So I want to use this to plan my work and jot down ideas for my monthly Happie Planner Kit.

P.S. I have been stamping a lot Simon the bunny and colour its shirt in various colour. I use it to decorate my May planner pages everywhere.

See… You could see Simon peeking out from one of the pockets and also I love that Christine include Simon in this month planner charm. I am such a huge fans for planner charms. Can never have enough of these cuties. I cut down the planner stickers (which are designed by yours truly, available here) and slot them into the card slot pocket. The planner stickers are measured approximately 3.75' x 5.75' per sheet and I cut them into 4 tiny sheets for each piece.

I absolutely adore the notepad (with cute pencils illustration) in the May kit.

I punched holes in some of my planner stickers and slot them into my planner. I use a paper clip to clip the sticker sheets together. The popsicle page marker is a test print version of my June 2015 Planner kit page marker.

I love the Cover page for the Cocoa Daisy May kit, and this is definitely my favourite cover page for all the Daisy Day Planner kits.

I hole punched the 4xx6 PL cards and decorate the card  a little with this month stamp set and round tags.

My fave would be the back of this PL card. Right side is the front page of the Week-on-2-pages inserts. I love how this month inserts have notes section for the weekly. I use the note section to jot down ideas and inspirations for my June Happie planner kit.

I trim down the corner of the kraft paper bag that keep the planner kit. I love the word Enjoy Everyday,  add washi tape to one of of the side, then stuck it to the back of the PL card. It is just perfect for holding a few sheets of the 3x5 notepad papers in the kit.

For the week-on-2-pages inserts, I use some planner stickers to cover up the days (Monday to Sunday) and add title to each of the topic that I need to work on. I love that the weekly pages have 6 section, with light gray colour grid. Aren;t those cloud and hot air balloon stickers cute?

Back of the week-on-2 page pages: I use to record the colour combination that I want to use in my June planner kit. I colour the circle dot stickers with copic markers and stuck them down. I can easily refer to the colour combination when I work on the kit. And the right page is just white paper sheet that I use to doodle / illustrate the design for my future kits.

And here comes the Daily pages - I don't use the Daily to do for my daily planning. Instead, I cover up the title of each section with some banner / flag planner stickers. I use this to make a checklist for my task. I also use the dew drop stickers to highlight the important tasks / reminders.

I love this PL card that is included in the kit and added Simon the bunny here just to brighten up my days.

I used to used these cute week-on-one-page inserts either for my baby journal or #listersgottalist challenge. But this month since I am using it for planning my future kits, I use it to write down quotes / saying that I found related to a particular theme (in this case, which is summer and sunshine theme). I absolutely adore the Daisy day planner inserts and I want to make it work for my planning. So covering up some of the days / titles with planner stickers, and use it for work planning is just a perfect way to stretch my Daisy Day Planner!

Thanks for looking and have an awesome day ;)

Planners | Daisy Day Planner & #listersgottalist

Hello everyone! Today it's Sam here to show you how I use the A5 sized inserts in my creative planner. I am using a number of planners - normally personal sized are for my daily use. But for my creative outlet, I am switching in between the A5 sized planners that I have in my collection. I am using A5 sized as my creative planners because I do need plenty of space for my doodling, painting and collage etc.

So this month Cori from @theresetgirl has hosted a List Challenge called #listersgottalist (which you can find more info here). I decided to jump on the bandwagon and join this fun challenge. I want to make it fun and do-able for me so I decided to go minimalist, and do them on Daisy Day planner week-on-one-page inserts. All I need to do is to bring some project life cards / journalling cards, stickers, washi tapes and a pen then I can actually jot down the list anytime, anywhere.

I printed the list of a piece of scrapbook paper and cut it down to A5 sized, punched holes and slot it into my creative planner. I just decorated the list with some stickers and die cuts that are in the Daisy Day Planner April kit.

Instead of stamping dates on the weekly inserts, I added some circle dot stickers (which I colour with copic markers earlier) and stamp the numbers with the cute little wooden stamps from April kit. I love how simple & cute it turned out.

So this is my first week challenge - I skipped some of the list because i have no inspiration on what to write for the particular topics yet - I will revisit the topics whenever I have time or I will just skip the topic if I really have nothing on my list. I am trying to keep it fun and simple for my hectic schedule. I said hectic schedule because my toddler is having 2 weeks Easter break at the moment and staying home with him 24/7 makes me have lesser me-time and working hours.

Here's the close up of the 1st week challenge - I just use up some stickers and washi tapes that I have prep earlier and leave on my work desk. And the rest of the weekly pages have been decorated briefly - I can add in more stickers whenever time permits or I am happy to just write down the daily list.

Thanks for looking! And I hope you have fun planning and being creative with these super versatile Daisy Day Planner kits!

Planners | More Pockets for Your Planners

Hello there, today I am gonna show you how you can never have enough pockets in your planner(s).  You can read previous blog post by Florence on what she store in her pockets + an awesome tutorial by Candi on how to make pockets for your planner. I am gonna show you even more pockets, just because it never hurts to have some pockets to hold your bills/receipts, project life card, to-do list etc right? Firstly, I made some pockets using scrapbook papers using Candi's tutorial. I am using personal sized planner from Kate Spade and also Webster's Pages Color Crush (in Sky) so my pockets look much smaller than Candi's (as she is using an A5 equivalent Kikki K planner).

I just cut down a few pieces of scrapbook papers to the size of personal inserts. You would need scissors, paper trimmer, tape glue and hole punch for making pockets.

I am using the smaller pieces of scrapbook papers / vellum in the above picture to make the pockets. Even project life cards are perfect for that!

And this is how it looks like after i glue the smaller pieces on the dashboard. I added machine stitching just for fun and love the texture! Don't worry, stitching on paper with sewing machine is kinda easy and fun.

This is the front of my March dashboard (the printed version will be included in the March Happie Planner kit)  - i drew the Mason jar and fussy cut it myself and add a piece of vellum behind to use as pockets to hold some loose note papers.

Love these note papers from the Cocoa Daisy Day Planner - Feb kit. I am a sucker for everything with hearts.

You can also use the pockets to hold receipts / bills. But remember to take them out to file them else your planner gonna be bulky!

I am using a vellum envelope (trimmed down to fit the personal sized planner and punched holes) then it can use to hold some loose change for my 52 weeks money challenge.

I also use the pockets to hold some project life cards as i often use them as to-do list / writing quotes or to make the planner pages more colourful.

Here's the pocket that I made with project life card. I only stitch 2 side of the card to the dashboard so that it is easier to keep stickers or sticky notes in and out.

More ideas for pockets - most of your filofaxes / planners might come with zipper pouch / top loading pouch (which you can find here). But I love fun and colourful stuff so I use a normal zipper pouch / slim pen case, punch holes and use as zipper pouch in my planner. I even have matching colours for all my planners.

And some interesting finds: sticky pockets - The pockets are like post its notes which you can stick them on paper and they are removable. such fun accessories to the planners right? I hope you had fun reading my post about what you can use as pockets for your planners. Thanks for dropping by!

Planners | Planner Peace (Finally!) & My Daisy Day Planner Weekly Pages

Hello there! Today I have another planner-nerd post up on Cocoa Daisy blog today. Before this photo-heavy post, I am so proud to declare that I have finally reached planner peace! For most of the planner nerds, you would know reaching planner peace is a huge thing right? I know everyone has different definition of 'Planner Peace'. For me, I am still finding hard to resist buying new planners (sometimes its the design / colours that are so tempting or brands that I really love). My planner peace comes from the system and inserts I am using currently. I am currently using 3 planners - my fauxdori (Happiedori) that I have made myself, 2 ring binders (one is more on social medias & work, one is for daily + personal stuff).
Planner Peace-3

I am going to show you one of the section that I have dedicated for Cocoa Daisy Weekly pages. I am currently using Cocoa Daisy Week-on-one-page and also week-on-two-pages inserts. Both for different functions. And at the same time, I am so inspired by the way Florence use her weekly inserts for inspiration quotes here. My weekly inserts from Daisy Day Planner kit are kept in this section called Hello ;)

Planner Peace-4

And here's the pages for my January inserts - which I only use the week-on-2-page in January. I write / doodle a quote on the cover of each weekly page cover and the weekly 2 pages will be my daily events. Not so much for my to-do's (which I have another section for that) but its more for memory keeping - for me to refer back to what had happened to that particular day.

Then here comes my February pages that I can't wait to show you guys. I have started using the week-on-1-page again. I use it as a simple journal / record to record my pregnancy, what my toddler did and his interaction with my baby bump. He has not started talking yet so its more on things that he does each day, that warm my heart. This is so helpful especially when i want to do journalling of this on my art journal / scrapbooking pages.

I have also tried prepping future weekly pages - which I don't normally do previously. I am hoping this would save time on decorating + keep me motivated on writing on the pages, recording the daily events. This does take a whole lot of determination for someone who isn't consistent in daily journaling like me.

Alrighty, thanks for dropping by to read such a long + photo-heavy blog post. I would love to see what do you use your weekly inserts for?
