Layout⎪ Still Daddy's Lil' Girl *Citrus Twist Kits*

It's Father's Day today and I have created this layout of me & my dad taken during my wedding. I still remember how my dad cried after my wedding reception. He was such a cry baby and kept making thank-you phone calls to all the friends and relative whom attended my wedding. To be honest, this is one of the very few photos of me and my dad . So both this layout and photo is super-duper precious! Gentle reminder to self: Take more photos with my family and document them on my layouts and Project Life ;)
I have also created this layout for Citrus Twist Kits to show one of the way to use the 6x6 paper pad that comes in the PL kit. This month PL kit features Webster's Pages - Allison Kreft Color & Composition Paper pack. I am loving the summery colors here.
The page does look a little summery with the bright yellow and green although I dedicate this layout for Father's Day.
First, start cutting the two pieces of papers into strips. I hand cut them randomly, or you could use a paper trimmer too.

Then arrange them on the white cardstcok (base) and add some machine stitching. Fold the edges of the strips up a little to add a little of dimension.

Once I have stuck down the photo, I pulled out all the green & yellow embellishment from the kits and started arranging them on the page. Some close-up of my layout:

Note: The green butterfly and 'happiness captured' fabric tabs are from my own stash ;)
How was your weekend? I hope you did enjoy your father's day weekend with either your father or your husband ;) XoXo.

  1. Beautiful job Sam! Love what you did with the paper strips and the stitching!

  2. Awesome layout, Sam! And you look gorgeous!

  3. Sooo beautiful - both YOU and your layout! :)

Thanks for leaving me a comment. I would love to hear from you =)
