I have actually completed my Week 11 spreads a few days ago but have been procrastinating in posting them up. This week I am having fun using the oh-so-pretty Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection. I really enjoy using 6x6 paper pads when making custom journalling cards. Patterned are all sized down and just perfect to fit into those PL pockets.
I thought I wouldn't have much photos for the week since I was still on bed rest. (Yay! I am off bed rest officially from tomorrow onwards.) I have girlies came over to visit me and a special guest from Brazil came visiting Kuala Lumpur. So husband decided to bring me out for nice, yummilicious lunch during the weekend.
I have decided to use sleeve in this design just because I want to include the iPhone screenshot of me and my husband Facetiming. FaceTime has been our daily activity since I am bed resting in Kuala Lumpur while he is working in Singapore. I love these yummy Amy Tangerine alpha stickers a lot. Its semi-transparent but in pretty colors that add a splash of colors to my spread instantly. The semi-transparent feature makes it blend so well with the photos, e.g. BR 31 looks like it is part of the ice cream photo right?
I have added four extra flip-flap cards for this week spread as I took too many photos of my dogs again.
I am definitely abusing the 'I Love You To The Moon & Back' stamp from my Studio Calico kit. Love it so much that I have been using it on my art journal, layout, PL spread and also altering my hard disk.
Another obsession: Paint Splatter with Distress Stain.
These two cards are my favorite cards of the week.
1) I create the background of the title card by stamping and heat embossing feathers. Colouring it with Mister Huey & Distress Markers to create the watercolor effect.
2) I love adding memorabilia into my Smashbook & PL pages although they are not acid free. Added the gold chocolate wrapper to the card by stapling them on the paper. Do remember to clean those wrappers or food packaging thoroughly before adding them to you projects else they will be covered by ants in the future >_<
I have just completed my Week 12 spreads but will only share them in April as it is a DT assignment. yea, finally, I am on a design team for very first time. I have 6 more assignments to go and I am hoping that I could finish them before baby Ivan is out! Baby Ivan please be good and stay in my tummy a little longer yea!
Thanks for looking, XoXo!
