Since today is NSD, so I am trying to stay away from clean & simple layouts. I didn't have much time to make scrapbooking pages recently but after watching Wilna's video tutorial on creating lovely pages with paint strokes cut files. I was too
And here was how I started. I pull out almost all the Marthe Stewart paints that I have in my stash and arrange them accordingly to create a pastel rainbow! Pastel + rainbow is soooooo me!
p.s. After I have started spreading a thick layer of paint onto the card stock, i sort of regretted. I do agreed painting on the Paint stroke cut files is way easier and the paper will not warp / buckle! Note to self: next time I shall not be too lazy to pull out my Cameo!
And here's my layout:
It is so fun to have inky fingers and once the layout is done, this instantly became one of my favourite layouts. And I am going to gift this layout to my parents because this photo of them is just too sweet!
I also tried my best to coordinate colour of the embellishments with the paint strokes. I colour those wood veneers that are from Love You More collections with acrylic paint.
For this layout, I used a lot of Cut Outs, Bits & Pieces, Wood Veneers and papers from Love You More collection which you can find in the shop.
And do remember, since today is NSD, as a scrapbooker, you should scrap and also shop till you drop!
XoXo,
what a cute layout :)
