Get Picky January Sketch Challenge #16

Found this Sketch Challenge from Get Picky while I was blog hopping last night. I decided to scrap the remaining pictures of my Universal Studios outing. 




I want to create this very very distress look on the paper  by inking and distress the edge with my finger nails. I have also torn two pieces of card stocks and layer them up.


It was fun using acrylic paint on the white card stock. A lot of embellishments (buttons, tickets, wooden spools, clips etc) in this LO and I just kept layering & layering.

I love these Vintage Vogue Wooden Spools from Pink Paisley. They're so adorable!


Blue & Red buttons were used to match the color of the pictures (i.e. Red & blue on Woody Woodpecker and also the roller coaster)


Some tickets were tucked in under the torn White & Pink card stock. 
(p.s: Scrapbookers might notice I took pictures of my LO by placing it on my Martha Stewart score board. 

Supplies used: 
Pattern papers: Fancy Pants Design (Off to School), MME (Love Me "Banners"), Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock
Others: Pink Paisley Vintage Vogue Wooden Spools, AC Thickers (Eric - foam), Distress Ink (Brushed Corduroy), Epiphany Crafts Self Adhesive buttons.

    This is SO gorgeous!! Love how you uniquely overlapped and layered the spool accents! And isn't that MME banner paper awesome?! I just used it for NEXT month's Get Picky sketch, lol! :) Gorgeous, gorgeous work!
