I *Heart* Camwhoring

I have a dear husband who is totally hopeless in taking pictures & not really into gadgets. So I am always the Ms. Photographer during our trip. It's just not many decent pictures of myself being taken. So camwhoring is one of my favorite things to do too! Who doesn't like pretty pictures of themselves?

For this layout, I have used Artful Delight March Sketch for & plenty of Dear Lizzy goodies. I think I am the first one who submitted the layout, even way before Leanne has posted those LOs by the DT. I just have to create a layout out of this pretty sketch by Abby when I saw it last night. Since I have used quite a number of stickers here, I decided to submit this LO for Scrapbookers Anonymous March Challenge too.

Single photo LO sketch again? Easy-peasy... =P
But I combined 6 polaroid frames as a photo instead.... let's see how it turned out...

Title: I Heart Camwhoring
I just have to use the Dear Lizzy papers! Everything here is from the latest Dear Lizzy line, only the chipboard Alphas is from AC Thickers. I still follow the sketch as much as I could, and I only switched the single photo to a 6 small polaroid frames.

I made some confetti by punching the small circles with my regular puncher & Crop-a-dile. Gluing them down with Inkssentials Glue & Sealer. Then I finished it up by brushing another layer of the Sealer to secure the tiny bits. It looks much much prettier in real life *I swear* Not sure why my camera couldn't capture how pretty it is =(

It looks like I am holding the balloons here

Another close up of the title

Putting this layout together is pretty quick. I just pull all Dear Lizzy goodies together and pick whichever fonts & embellies that I would love to use. The trickiest part would be sticking the confetti down.

Gotta run to the bank now! Thanks for looking and happy crafting during the weekend! Can't wait to get my March kit from Artful Delight & the Paper Smooches stamps that I've ordered with Leanne.

Discover

This layout is inspired by the Bird Is The Word's weekly challenge: DISCOVER. I love this pic of me & Ethan because we both looked different here. He wears glasses everyday and I HARDLY take pictures with my glasses on. But this photo is just the other way round, how cute is that?

I didn't use any sketch for this layout. I am also inspired by Scrapbookers Anonymous February Challenge which is all about hearts & stitching. I love poking holes and hand-stitch a bit of here and there on my layout and heart-shaped embellies is always my favorite, so completing this layout shouldn't be TOO challenging right? I probably stitch more on papers than actual fabric nowadays.

I started digging into my stash for heart-shaped embellies... and heart-shaped pattern papers

Here's my take on both challenges: Theme: Disover and with some hearts & stitching.

This is also inspired by Yvonne Yam's journalling tips on creating a scene for the layout. Loving the MME's Kraft papers (from Artful Delight January scrapbook kit) and I am trying so so so hard to fit the cute pinwheels somewhere in the layout. The journalling reads: Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition. ~ Alexander Smith

Have you spotted the white glasses on the right of the pictures? Just because I was wearing glasses in this pictures.

I also love the stapling ric-rac ribbons recently.

Okay... here come the stitching part. Stamped the cloud on Doodlebug textured card stock and started stitching. Ethan also helped me with some stitching here. I also painted the vanilla card stock with a wash of blue paint (using distress ink, hehehe)

Tags: D is for Discovery. And the wash of blue color is more obvious here.

And here come the hearts!

Thanks for looking...  It's another 10 hours to go, luckily I made it on time to submit this layout. Phew~

Scrapbookers Anonymous & Frosted Design: Easy Breezy Using G....

I found out another scrapbook challenge site - Scrapbookers Anonymous via Yvonne's blog.

This month A to Z challenge is letter G:
Give me a............ G!!!!!! yes, the letter G is the A to Z letter of the month. Find something in your stash that begins with the letter G. You know you want to dig into your stash and use up some Glitz, Graphic45, or GCD Studios paper... or maybe it's a Girl, Guy, Gourds, Green, Gab, Gargoyles, or Gadgets.. show us what you got!!!! ready, set, go!!!!
And I am also entering this layout for Frosted Design's Fabulous Friday ChallengeThis week they are doing: Shape it Up x 3 (Pick a geometric shape - circle, square, etc. - and use it 3 times in project)  SinceI have just gotten my new EK success circle cutter, this is the perfect time to scrap a layout with many many many circles! I have been waiting for my circle cutter and do a layout with Circles. I have lost count how many circles I have in this layout.

I have gotten a pile of lovely Green & Brown papers from this month Artful Delight scrapbook kit. I will post the huge box that I got from Leanne from Artful Delight later on. This is my take on the G challenge:

Wow! I am so gonna print more Black & White photos in the future. The picture simply pops out no matter how colorful / busy the layout it. And the best part is, B&W photos go well with any color easily.
Okay, back to the G in this layout: Green card stock, Green pattern patter (B side of Year-O-Graphy - Simple Basics), Studio G - Glitter Glue in green & Green brads. By the way, the doggie in the picture is Jojo, a Girl doggie! No pun intended~ Green is the color I don't normally fancy when I am doing a layout  but I think Leanne from Artful Delight really made a good job in choosing the monthly scrapbook kit.

The birdies are from Little Yellow Bicyle - Paradise

I cut a few circles using my brand new EK Success Circle Cutter. It is really easy breezy to use! Cut perfect circles on glass cutting mat.

Do you know how many birdies are there in this LO? lol =D

The die cut paper from Jillibean Soup does the journalling in this LO.

Thats all for my G layout on Scrapbookers Anonymous & Frosted Design February challenge. Thanks for looking!
