Video⎪Watercoloring With Peerless Watercolor

Hello lovelies, after much procrastinating, I made another video of me doing water colouring. The big yellow iPhone clips that I have posted here makes taking video with my tiny point-and-shoot / iPhone 5 so much easier. I didn't have to deal with the tripod legs that are in my way because I don't have a big enough table to spread the tripod as wide as I would like to.

I am a total noob in iMovie, so I  spent about 1.5 hours editing this and another 5 hours exporting + uploading this to my YouTube channel. It took me 6 trials of uploading to get it right, its either, my channel is not verified so I can't upload videos more than 15 minutes or my file size is more than 2GB. And once I have sorted the length of the movie and file size, iMovie shoed I have successfully uploaded the movie, but there is no where to be seen on my channel! Why why why??? And finally I have sorted out the issues. This will not stop me from making more videos, I promise. ;) I have 2 more videos waiting to be processed and upload. Soon, very soon, I promise alright?

Anyway, thank you all for watching my video + subscribing to my YouTube channel.

Here's the close up of the water-colour image: I am not an art student, so don't judge me LOL. I am using these images for a set of planner dividers because one of the girl requested a set of cute animals + mason jars themed for her Kate Spade Wellesley Zip-around. I couldn't say no to mason jars and cute animals right?

Thanks for watching! And you sweet comments really keep me motivated + work harder to make more tutorials and videos.

Scooting By To Say Thank You

As promised, I am here to share some of the mini albums I made for my colleagues as farewell gift before I left the company. I made this back in June /  July and just found these pictures in my Aperture album. This is an album for a male colleague, thus more blue and green used here.

I super love the cover of the minis. Misted the white cardstock with blue & green Mister Huey and used them to color the scooter too. Love how well it turn out like water coloring effect.

The pages were from Studio Calico July Kit, I think ;) If you noticed, I have been using the Hello speech bubble stamps everywhere.

This picture never failed to made me giggle every time. Tone down the yellow background with super thick white acrylic paint and stamp with Black Staz-on. I jokingly told my colleagues that if this picture paired up with Paper Smooches 'Get Outta Town' sentiments - 'Go To Your Happy Place', this is gonna looks like obituaries.

Colorful pages with colorful pictures

Finally, the front and back for this simple minis.

Thanks for looking. XoXo.

Happy Little Cards

When I am lack of mojo to scrap or I am just too intimidated by the 12x12 LOs (fellow scrappers, I'm sure you get what I mean, hehe), I would start looking for my stamp sets and see what are the cute little cards that I could come up with.

Here are a few simple cards that I completed during my sleepless nights and feeling a little crafty:-

1)  A Pick-Me-Up card for my dear husband.
Hello hubby if you are reading my blog! *Waving* I used mainly Amy Tangerine Sketchbook and Paper Smooches Vegtastic stamp set. I had so much fun playing with my embossing powder & heat gun ever since I have my own craft area. Tools and supplies are always around me so I am more keen to use more tools when I'm crafting.

2) A super belated Birthday card for my scrappy friend, Cheryl. TO be honest, I made the card much much earlier, but I only managed to pass the prezzies + card to her a month after her 21st birthday. Happy belated birthday, Cheryl! :)

The stamp set is from Lawn Fawn, Happy Summer. I stamped the talking ant upside down so I gotta stamp another talking ant and popped it up on the card. I love adding stickles to my cards nowadays. Maybe it's chirstmas real soon, don't you agree?

I am loving the inside of the card. I splattered 3 different colors of Studio Calico Mists. I think I am gonna make another LOs or cards with this cute splattered background.

3) And finally it's some christmas-ie cards. I just realized I do not have christmas-themed papers nor stamp sets in my stash. I seriously could not believe this when I have several boxes of patterned papers and stamp sets.

So I just make do with some not-so-christmas-ie papers from Crate Papers, die cutting the penguins using my Cameo and stamp some christmas sentiments. It ended up looking kinda Christmas-ie after adding some Stickles and Silver-n-Gold embossed fireworks patterns (which I think it resembles snowflakes, hahahaha) right?

4) I am loving the bubbles mask from Studio Calico so I misted the background way before I knew what I wanted to do with the card. Adding some green papers, Red stickles and twines, then we could have a lovely christmas card without any christmas supplies in our stash right?

I had so much fun digging through my stash trying to make my cards look more christmasy and am happy that I finally have used up some of the supplies. Okay, I gotta be frank here....  making only 4 cards here definitely have not make a dent in my stash considering The rate i build up my stash. Isn't that a norm between scrapbookers and card makers?

Thanks for dropping by. XoXo.

Productive July

Hello Hello! I am still scrapping and smash*ing but I am very lazy to upload my layouts to the blog. It's Great Singapore Sales in Singapore right now but I haven't been shopping much, be it clothes / books / scrapbooking supplies. I have been working very very hard  & party-ing real hard too!

Firstly... I would like to thank Paper Crafter's Library for featuring my SMASH* book post. And thanks Madey for highlighting the blog post to me ^-^

I received my Studio Calico June Kit - So Cal  approximately 3 weeks back but I barely have time to play with it. And I wanted the speech bubbles stamp from Add-on 4 - Venice Beach so badly but I missed it twice during the pre-sales for subscribers and also on the actual launch. It was sold out less than a minute after it was launched! Can you believe that??? So I have learn my lesson and for July kit, I switch on 2 computers to click the 'add to cart' button on the pre-sales day to make sure I got all the add-ons that I want! But still... I missed out on another add-on kit in July too >_<

These are the Main kit & add on that I got in June... And make a wild guess.... How many layouts have I created out of 'em?

June Main Kit - So Cal

Add-on 3 - Santa Monica

I created two 12x12 LOs, four 8.5x11 LOs, 1 mini album + 1 mini 5.5x5.5 layout. I used mainly the Studio Calico June Kit, Paper Smooches stamp, Stamps from SC Summer School Stamp & some pretty October Afternoon 9-to-5 papers. I am now a happy scrappers who have at least 2 more LOs to complete in order to use up my June kit while waiting for my July kit.

1) Singapore River Cruise
This layout is made using the scraps that I have left after making a few layout from June Kit. I tend to look for Orange, green and blue scraps to match with the photos. I am loving the soft / pastel color combination here. Too lazy to set up the sewing machine so I drew the white stitching line instead. Loving the pics that I taken when my parents came to Singapore to visit me a week ago. <3

Loving the Paper Smooches stamp image that I color with color pencils and stickles!

I draw a few white lines using Uniball White Pen to make the glitter foam alpha poped out.

2) Stamping Queen - A layout dedicated for my scrappy friend - Cheryl Leong
This layout is created by following Studio Calico Sunday Sketch 8/7/2012. And this is my first time using sewing machine on my layout. Love the subtle texture that the stitching added to the project. It took me quite a while threading my sewing machine though.

Love love the BIG impact of the starburst on the bottom of this sketch. I flipped the sketch to the right instead.

I added a lil' crown to the picture of the stamping queen >_<

First time trying to emboss on vellum too! you could see that I am crazy over vellums by now! <3 the dreamy (yet subtle) effect of the vellum.

Super cute starburst / sunburst layout.

 3) Canopy
This LO is scrap lifted from a card that I saw from Studio Calico Summer School Stamp. I just received my Hero Arts mid tone ink and have been stamping Hello on a piece of white pages.  So I just simply arrange the Hello word bubble and that's how quickly I completed this layout. Misted Green & yellow here as the instax were taken during our breakfast outing at Bishan Park.

Colored the arrow stamps randomly with distress marker. I am now thinking of getting a complete set of distress markers!

 4) J & S
I am loving the 8.5 x 11 scrapbook pages. I could complete the smaller scrapbook pages with lesser time and loving the compact size of these pages. The MME paper is very very pretty on its own so I just added some chipboard stickers (banner) + some stamped clouds + stamped bicycle and ta-dah! The colorful clouds are my fave in this layout!

The cute book clip is from Basic Grey and I gotta confess. The black ink splatter is actually stamped using Swiss Girl Design stamp. Same effect as normal splatter the black mist but minus the mess!

5) Bintan
This pattern paper is my fave paper in the June kit. It took me quite a while to decide on which photos to go with it. And this is my very very first time using my new baby Cameo to cut out the silhouette title here. Love it!

Add stickles to pop up the cute birdie! I have a few pictures from this Bintan trip to be scrapped. Stay tuned!

I have a layout, a mini album & a card that I made for my girlies at work. Will share those projects with you in a day or two. Thanks for dropping by =)

Make Many Cards Monday

I have been feeling unwell recently... Losing voice, coughing non-stop at night and feeling feverish + lethargic. Been taking sickie today and wanted to craft all day but I ended up ZzZzZ whole day.

These are the odd cards that I made over the weeks whenever I'm free and some of the cards will be donated to a FB group named 'Crafting For Charity' to raise fund for the animals. You all know how much I love animals right?

Total 19 cards donated to Crafting for Charity

These are the cards I have made lately...
1) I-O-U card I mean❤ U card (for Ethan) ;P

Lovely Alpha stamps from Swiss Girl Designs by Rahel Menig
Embossed with Opaque white Zing powder and color with Distress Markers

Inside of the card... I love love love the Martha Stewart Heart Beat Punch

2) You're Special card for my colleague who is going to leave the company soon...

The colorful zebra is supposed to be the SPECIAL ones... I think I should stamp the other 3 zebras in gray then stamp one Special zebra in rainbow color. YEa... maybe next time I wanna duplicate this card then I will definitely do so to make a special zebra

3) A Popping Up credit card for my Ministry of Finance:

4) A Mother's day card made by a lazy-bum...

The super cute clouds are from Pretty Little Studio. And I colored the Buzzy bee with color pencils.

 5) A 'We Click' card using Paper Smooches 'Perpetual Bliss' stamp set & Artful Delight May Card Kit

Couldn't help playing with the embossing powder and Mister Huey

6) Another lazy bum card that made in 10 minutes
Used lots of Echo Park 'Sweet Day' yummies here

I have too many stamp sets that I newly purchased that I can't wait to use them. Hopefully I have more time to craft. Thanks for looking!

Warm Thoughts To Friends...

James is Ethan's Uni mates back in Manchester. James' wife (Gunjan) recently has delivered 2 premmies (at week 26) who weigh 1lb 13oz and 1lb 6oz each. Gunjan's doing much better after her surgery but her BP is still high, so she is on 5 different meds to try and control it. Hopefully she will be discharged from the hospital soon.

Rohan, the bigger boy is off his ventilator and breathing on his own.  He seems pretty calm and usually has a hand down his diaper or grabbing his crotch like Micheal Jackson. While Krish (the smaller one) is very feisty and likes to punch his nurse when she changes his diaper. He is on a ventilator to help him breath. (Updated: James just emailed to say that Krish is now off his ventilator too! Hoo ray!) My own elder brother (who is now 29 y/o) was a preemies too. He was delivered at week 28, weighed 4lb 2oz. Mum told us how difficult it was to take care of a premmies. So I totally feel the situation J&G are facing right now.

Me and Ethan thought of sending our warm wishes from Singapore to US with this bright and colorful card, hoping this would make their day.

This card is made with only card stocks, no pattern papers. Will use this card to join Paper Smooches Card Challenge.
This card has a papa flower (with blue heart) and a mama flower (red lips + pink heart) which symbolize James & Gunjan. The three bees symbolized their elder daughter and Rohan & Krish the premmies. I want this colorful background to looks like a sunny day. Off to send our warm thoughts to James, Gunjan & the little ones. Get well soon.

I spent almost 30 minutes just on the ray of light background and then I found  the tutorial of making this ray background from Simon Says Stamps. >_< And you can download the template here too!

Then I proceeded to make another 'belated' birthday card for my bestie, L.

I am such a bad friend that have totally forgotten her birthday. >_< I made this card in order to make it up for her. I hope she <3 it. Love love love this pic taken in KLCC a few weeks ago when we had a quick catch up back in Kuala Lumpur. And all thanks to the awesome photographer, Cheryl =) You rocks, babe!

Using only Paper Smooches stamps & card stock only. I love how the Birdies carrying tulips in their beaks. This card is inspired by Tkle Crafts' With Gratitude card
I am gonna use this card to join Simon Says Stamps 3rd Birthday Challenge. Wish me luck. I am drooling all over for their yummy prizes!

I am gonna share a tag made by Ethan. (p.s: Ethan is my husband, not son! ;)
Us looking silly with funny frames in Taiwan

I have no idea how he learnt how to use my paper trimmer, twines, inks and stamps. He spent quite some time doing it while I was taking my evening nap. I asked why did he draw a koala (a doggie) with big heart and me being so much shorter on the tag. =) I went Awwww...... when I saw this tag and knowing how he trying to use all my scrapping tools to came out with this card. Isn't he super duper sweet? Oh ya, he even used my SMASH date stamp at the back with some archival inks.

Okie dokie. I am super happy that I got to spent plenty of time to craft (and blog) during the National Scrapbook Weekend. I really need to catch up on Smashing my daily life. And I totally adore the idea of Ethan joined along by making a cute tag for me. Off to study now after I have been procrastinating a week.... my last re-sit paper on this Thursday. Wish me luck! XoXoXo
