Layouts⎪Me & My Birthday Boy *Citrus Twist Kits*

Hello there! This is Sam to share one of my layout using the 6x6 paper pad that is included in the April Pocket Life kit. I am loving the bright colours with a pop of yellow in this month kit. Although yellow is not my favourite colour but I love how the colour made the layout pop.

And here's my layout that I created under an hour - I started off with adding blue water-colour to the background to mimic the sea. And layer some papers from the paper pad to create a cluster of layering. Sprinkle some Freckled Fawn Star enamel dots and added title and thats how I complete my layout.

Here's the close up of the layout. The Amy Tangerine transparent stickers is just too cute! They look like stamping instead of stickers.

Thanks for looking!

Mini Album⎪You're One

Hello there! I am sharing another mini album that I made for Baby Vivi's one year old birthday. Do you remember Vivi who is Ivan's girlfriend? I have made a layout featuring cute photos of them first met. I have no idea what gifts to get for Vivi'sfirst birthday because she seems to have everything! Lucky baby indeed! So I got her godmom - Trisha to send me monthly photos of Vivi since the day she was born. And I created a simple mini album using loads of Studio Calico Story Time - baby girl collection.

For the cover - I can't seem to get away from making a huge sequin pocket again ;) I tend to recycle designs that I love again and again.

PB141105

I torn a few pages from vintage book for layering. I love adding gelatos / watercolors on the vintage book paper! It simply adds unique texture to the album.

PB141107

Keeping left page simple because I simply love how clean the star patterned transparency is.

PB141109

Leaving some of the pages blank so that godma can add typed journaling later.

PB141111

PB141112

My favourite page of this mini album. I added the ombre pink - orange with Gelatos on a piece of white card stock.

PB141113

The die cut tags (thin cork sheet and pink paper) on the right is cut with my beloved Craftwell eBosser and Avery Elle's dies.

PB141114

PB141115

PB141118

PB141120

PB141122

PB141123

Last page on the left - Birthday photo will be added on that page. And again, loving the water-colour effect on the vintage book paper.  Too pretty!

PB141125

What do you think of this birthday gift? I hope Vivi's mom - Xuan will love the album when she receives it! Definitely using the same idea to make a mini album for Ivan's monthly photos when he turns one! But guess what, picking 12 photos from over 10,000 photos is gonna be an uphill task (or maybe mission impossible)!

Layout⎪ Love You *About A Boy*

Hello people! I have a new layout up on About A Boy Scrapbook Challenge Blog this week. The challenge for this week is 'Going In Circle'. Circle and hearts are two of the most used elements when I am creating layout and project life. I mad love my various sizes of circle punches but to be frank, I only have 4~5 circle punches.

For this layout, I decided to use my Studio Calico June kit - Planetarium. I pull out all the papers with circle elements and also polka dots because I want to use as many circles as I could in this layout. I am still loving pastel colors when creating my baby boy layout but I have no idea why it end up being a very very girly layout. Perhaps the lace / ribbon trims under the photo make the layout looks extremely girly?

Love the photo collage of Baby Ivan. He looks so grown up here despite being only 8 weeks old. LoL. Is there a STOP button so that I could enjoy his babyhood more? Now I am missing his newborn days ;) I am sure most of the mommies feel the same that time flies and we do not want to miss out any of the precious babyhood.

This Jillibeans phrase stickers are beyond awesome! It looks like silhouette cut minus the hassle of using the die-cutting machine. I could only do a quick layout (i.e. under an hour) nowadays.

adding a tiny bit of grey color to my pastel layout.

I love all the photos of Baby Ivan, thus I made a photo collage using PicStitch app on my iPhone and print in on a 4x4 size. Just the perfect size for a 12x12 layout. And the grey title is also the phrase stickers from Jillibeans that I have grabbed each design in every single color, and some I even grabbed 2!

Remember to hop over to About A Boy Challenge blog to check out other Boys layout by AAB Design team. They are so awesome and inspiring that you wouldn't wanna miss them ;) Thanks for looking and I hope you have an awesome weekend!

XoXo.

Layout⎪ 6x6 Paper Play *Citrus Twist Kits*

Hello there! Its been almost 2 weeks since I last blogged. No worries, I am still breathing and crafting although I have been crafting much lesser compared to the days Baby Ivan was here. Baby's first days can't wait and I would not want to miss those precious moment right?

I have two layouts up on Citrus Twist Kits blog today featuring the 6x6 paper pads that is included in the Project Life May kit. I love purchasing 6x6 pads although I don't make a lot of cards. I just love how this little paper pad has almost all the papers in a particular collections at a fraction of price. And most of the PL-ers know that the scaled-down patterns in the 6x6 pads are perfect to use for those little pockets in PL spreads.

I also love using 6x6 pads to create traditional 12x12 layouts and I have posted two of the examples on CTK blog. One is crazily vibrant and the other one is simply dreamy. Do check the blog out and hopefully you'll be inspired to use up some of the paper pads in your stash too!

With a 2 inch square punch and a 6x6 paper pad, I could make a busy-and-complicated looking layout under an hour. Awesome huh? I could go really crazy with the colors and embellishment as I am using a B&W photo. I think I am gonna scrap this photo again and again as this is one of the most important moment of my life.

Currently: In love with vellum pockets.

Am hoping I could have better hand writing ;)

The 'Notes' stamp is one of the CTK exclusive stamp. Too cute!

And this is the 2nd layout I created with the 6x6 pad & a Martha Stewart Hearts punch.

As opposed to the previous vibrant layout, this layout is more on the muted, dreamy side to match with my wedding photo. This is one of my favorite photos of myself during my big day. The photo is so simple, yet meaningful, so I didn't want the layout to be overwhelmed with embellishments.

The Dear Lizzy thickers look so yummilicious with its sugar frosting ;)

Running out of white thread. So I have been stitching with pale yellow thread for my recent projects.

I have more layouts and projects that I can't wait to share with y'all here. Stay tuned! XoXo....

Giveaway⎪National Scrapbooking Day & Giveaway Winner!

It's National Scrapbooking Day and do you stay in your scrap desk and have fun making stuffs? Sadly, I did not. I am trying very hard to juggling between a newborn and cleaning up the huge mess in my Singapore home. FYI, I was away from my home for 2 months since I was required to bed rest for 3 weeks and confined (it's a must for Chinese to have a 30 days of confinement) at my parent's place back in Kuala Lumpur. God knows how much I miss my home in Singapore, especially my scrap desk! And there are boxes of scrappy stuff waiting for me in Singapore while I was away!

I am gonna finish up with this blog post, attend to my baby and start working on my Project Life spreads & Citrus Twist assignments.

Firstly, I would like to post the winner of the Mother's Day blog hop:
Congrats, Michelle Looi from Scraposition! Kindly email me at waisam.ho@gmail.com so that I could post the prezzies to you. And by the way, do drop by Michelle's blog to check out her awesome projects. I am always in awe of her ways of using mists and paints. And would love to thank all ladies for leaving comments + following me on my blog & instagram. You all are super awesome!

And secondly, I want to thank the awesome Instagram friends that I have met. Me & Baby Ivan has received plenty of gifts from these awesome ladies that I met via Instagram, and I have not even met them in person. This is one of the happy mail that I received this week, that makes me and Ivan happy Mommy, happy baby. Super love those cute onesies with cute french bull dog (me think is a french bull dog ;)). And I finished eating the Dove chocolates in a day. Yum!!! How thoughtful are Rebecca & Abby who sent me this lovely parcel all the way from US. Thanks a bunch!

And I would love to include a photo of Ivan smiling in his dream. Too cute to not post this! It just made me super happy looking at his smile even after he has been making fuss for hours. Nothing beats a baby smile right?

And I would like to end this post with a photo of my little family which was taken yesterday. I am so glad that I still have only 1 more kg to go for losing all my baby weight and super happy that I am finally home after 2 months. P.S. my house is still in huge mess as you could see from the picture. Hubster never bother to clean up the house while I was away. Thank god that I have a weekly helper who at least comes and cleans the house once a week.

Just something random from this picture. I am a little pissed that my shoe size still remains the same throughout my pregnancy.  According to old wives' tale our feet will grow bigger after getting pregnant & giving birth. Noooo such thing for me. I am complaining here because I am very petite and am wearing shoes US size 34 (UK Size 3). Yes, and there are times size 34 shoes are a tad too big for me. And most of the time I need to get shoes from kids department. No fun at all ;)

Enough of my random rants. Thanks for dropping by my blog, XoXo.

Layout⎪ So Loved*

Hello there! I am posting another layout of Baby Ivan. I completed three layouts of him in 2 days time. My instgram bestie Evelin is right, being a mum makes us a fast scrapbooker. Don't ask me how I manage to scrap and craft so much even with a 2 weeks-old newborn. The truth is I have a supermom who helps me take care of baby while I nap. Sometimes I steal time in between feeding sessions to scrap or work on my Project Life. Sometimes I forced myself to scrap because I have some DT assignments to work on, but most of the time I scrap to keep myself stay awake and de-stress. All moms know how demanding a newborn can be right?

Here's 3rd layout of Ivan. I think I would need to run to our local scrapbook store to get two more new album dedicated for baby's layout.

A simple layout inspired by Maggie Holmes & Janna Werner's layout of creating banners in layout. I also stitched a layer of white crepe paper on the background to create dreamy effect as Ivan was dreaming away in the photo.

Loving this Amy Tangerine semi-transparent alphas. They look yummilicious when stacked together.

Using lots of Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm here. The papers are just perfect for a baby boy layout. Keep layering the arrows, banners and stickers. <3

Love this 'Hello, my name is' tag. Too cute!!

Oh by the way, I have completed my Week 15 spreads yesterday and made another layout today. Super proud of myself being so crafty. And super blessed to have mum to help taking care of baby when I craft away. Next month when I go back to Singapore, I am on my own again.

Thanks for looking, XoXo.

Love You To The Moon & Back (Baby Version)

Hello there! I am back with another layout again. Call me a scrap machine!  *LoL* I am addicted to scrapbooking so much and can't wait to scrap those precious photos of my baby boy. So I decided to sacrifice an hour of my sleep to scrap another layout. I feel really good to be able to scrap and document the precious photo of him almost immediately. And all thanks to my brother who took awesome photos of him. And big big thanks to my super-mom who helps taking care of Ivan while I could eat, sleep & scrap in peace. *blessed*

A very simple layout again (as I don't have much sleeping to sacrifice anyway!). Just cut some cute patterned papers from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection and layer + machine-stitched. Then I also added some Amy Tangerine ' Yes, Please' and Dear Lizzy '5th & Frolic' stickers as embellishment and I am done with a quickie layout.

This is my 5th projects using 'Love You To The Moon And Back' as title. I still can't get over the cuteness of this lovely phrase. This is a journalling card from Pebbles. I stamped some phrase messily using the Dear Lizzy roller phrase stamp to add some interest.

Just keep layering some stickers as embellishment. Loving the Foxy boy sticker <3

Finally I spent 5 minutes to add some machine stitching before I glue everything down. I didn't have any baby-themed papers but Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm is just perfect for baby boy layout. I think that's because Elizabeth Kartchner herself is expecting a baby boy! That's why ;)

That's all for this layout. I am so ambitious that I want to make a mini album for those cute photos of Ivan. Hopefully I can get it done when Ethan is around this weekend and I could have spent longer time to scrap. Thanks for looking and thanks thanks thanks for all the sweet words. XoXo.

Life Changing Moments...

Most of you know that I have been scrapping photos of my dogs forever. Since I have just given birth to a baby boy so there are a lot more layouts about my baby Boy, Ivan from now on. This is the very first layout I scrapped about my baby boy using Studio Calico March kit. I did this in between the ever-demanding feeding session and I managed to complete this under an hour. I simply love how this colorful layout turned out and how the b&w photo popped right off the page.

Photo Credit: Jun Kit (my brother). His Fujifilm X-Pro 1 takes amazing B&W photos with beautiful bokeh.

Title of the layout using the super pretty Maggie Holmes paper.

Loving those speech bubbles that I fussy cut from a piece of Crate Paper.

The 'Love you to pieces' phrase is from Amy Tangerine rub-ons. Not a big fans of rub-ons but it turns out nicely on the vellum speech bubble.

Okay, gotta go and attend to my baby now. I hope that I would get more sleep and gets even more crafty along the way. Thanks for looking, XoXo.

p.s.: I am so thrilled that one of my project got featured on Amy Tangerine's blog. I posted photo of Amy Tangerine Calendar stamp on my Instagram and it got featured! *Happiness overload* By the way, my project is the no.9 (bottom right corner).

The day we went home...

The little man that rocks our world

Sleepless mom in the making...

Jojo the guardian angel who takes care of Baby Ivan while mommy doing Project Life.

These are the random stuff I do the day before I went into labour ward ;)
Craving for a bowl of yummilicious Cendol

Playing with washi tapes and doodling

Love me some FroYo (MooCow original flavor froyo with almonds and digestive biscuits is always my fave!)
Playing with washi again to ease my contraction pain. I endured 17 hours of contraction pain before i gave into Epidural.

And I made a layout a few hours before admitted to Labour Ward. Funny but true, crafting and playing with papers do ease my contraction pain (or maybe distracting me a great deal in dealing with the awful pain). How awesome is scrapbooking, LoL!

And I know I have been receiving a lot of happy mails since last week. Will definitely share more of my projects (if I ever get to be crafty) and my piles of happy mails this weekend. Thanks for looking and also all the sweet wishes on Facebook + Instagram. <3
