What Do I Do With All of These Journaling Cards?

Hi Happie Scrappie girls! It’s Teddi Confetti here with a blog post using the super duper gorgeous August makeup themed Happie Scrappie kit!
This month I wanted to show you one way that you can use those gorgeous custom designed 3x4 cards that are often included in the happie planner kits!
I don’t know about you guys, but I have quite a few of these little cards in my life!  I really love all the gorgeous designs and sayings, but I sometimes struggle to find uses for them all.
This month I decided to take my favorite cards and fussy cut around the designs to create ephemera pieces that I used to decorate my planner.
This was a semi-painful process for me at first because cutting out the design on one side will usually ruin the design on the opposite side.  I reminded myself that if I didn’t find a use for these pretty cards they would go to waste anyway, so I mustered up the courage and started clipping out the cute little designs.
Even though it was a little painful at first to cut up those gorgeous cards, I was really really happy with how it all turned out!
I actually even clipped some of the cute designs from the packaging to use as ephemera pieces.  I loved the little perfume bottles from the perfume sticker packaging!
I also clipped out the little stamp that Sam adds to the paper bag that the whole kit comes in and added it to my page, and snipped the little flowers off the top of a few of the stick markers to use as a bit of added decoration!
I included this page marker that I “made” by simply hole punching the marker using my arc planner style punch.  I laid the unpunched page marker in my planner along side the rings with a bit sticking out the top.  I then put a little dot where the first hole should be and punched!  Now I can easily find my current week! The marker is made from lovely heavy-duty card stock, so there’s no need to laminate (unless you really want to)!
Last but not least I hung the little high heel charm from the happy planner rings.  The perfect finishing touch!
Thanks so very much for taking the time to read!  Feel free to tag me if you guys decide to clip out the cute designs from your happie planner kit cards! I would love love love to see what you create!!

With love,

Teddi

Using Items From The Happie Scrappie Planner Kit For The #onebookjuly2015 Challenge

Hello! It’s Mits (@mylifemits). I hope you’re doing well and are having a great week so far.  I’m super duper excited to be here writing to you about how I’m using some of the Happie Scrappie goodies for this month.

When I first opened my Happie Scrappie planner kit, I knew exactly what I was going to use it for. The One Book July challenge.  If you’ve never heard about this challenge, it’s basically using one notebook, one pen, for one month (in this case July). I decided to use my Happiedori (Traveler’s notebook) as my ‘one notebook’. I have always wanted to try using a traveler’s notebook for my planning and was so excited to see that Sam created such cute weekly inserts for the June kit, it was perfect how things just fell into place for this challenge.

If you want to see how I set up my Happiedori for this challenge, please feel free to check out the video.

I absolutely love the weekly insert as it is so cute and colourful just as it is. I like to decorate my pages, but with these inserts, I don't feel the pressure to have to washi tape or add stickers since it is already so pretty and colourful. It’s perfect for weeks where I am too tired..ahem, lazy to decorate. ^^”

Another thing I have really enjoyed using this month is her exclusive stickers that she has made for the planner kits.

As you can see in the photo, I have used these heart stickers to write down the dates for my weekly insert. They're perfect sizing for the space. I like to change up the colours for the weekends :) I have also used the banner stickers as a title to highlight any sections within my notes.

In the photo below, I decided to utilize the banner stickers and make tabs /sections in my notebook. Perfect for this one book challenge.

Feel free to check out the video below where I talk about my progress with the challenge and show you how I decorate/plan this week’s pages :)

What are some of your favourites of the month? I hope you found this post useful and were able to gain some ideas on how you could use the goodies from the Happie Scrappie Planner Kit for your planning needs :)

Wishing you all the best and happy planning !

xoxo, Mits

How I Use Fauxdori Inserts As My Social Media Planning

Hi Happie Planners, my name is Lucy (IG: @organisedlucy). I hope all of you are having such an awesome week so far. Today I am going to show you how I use the fauxdori inserts from HappieScrappie planner kit.

Starting this week I have decided to use the fauxdori inserts as my social media planning. My goal is to regularly post two pictures everyday into the social media, i.e. Facebook and Instagram, as I have the habit of not consistently posting pictures on social media in the past few weeks due to the commitment of daily work schedules.

To start the processes, I decided to draw a line on the fauxdori inserts to separate between "Morning" and "Night" because I will post one picture during morning and another one in the evening.

You know that I always love bright and pastel colors, so when I received my fauxdori inserts, I instantly fell in love it, as it is very colorful, pretty and cute. However I decided to add more ingredients to spice up the inserts. So I decided to add the banner stickers and mini dots stickers. I wrote the daily posting idea on the banner stickers and I used the mini dot stickers to serve as the checklist boxes.

For the notes page, I like to decorate it with some stamping. I chose Kellie Stamps (TODAY Collection). I decided to stamp on HappieScrappie Notepad and paste it on the notes page. I love that the June kit's notepad has a watercolor background which compliment the fauxdori inserts really well.

Lastly it won't be complete without putting some final touches on the first page. I decided to incorporate the journaling card to serve as a positive reminder and the doodled heart and banner stickers that came with the planner kit as decoration.

I hope all of you enjoy my first blog contribution. Happy Fourth of July to those who celebrate and Happy Weekend to all of you.
XOXO
Lucy
