And here's the list of the blog hop:

Sam Ho  >> You are here now!

For this year NSD blog hop, the DT girls are asked to make a simple 6x6 layout with some inspirational quotes. I love making mini layouts with inspirational quotes which I could hang it on my Inspiration wall or gift it to my girlies. And also, making one of these mini layouts would only take up about 15-30 minutes of my time. I pull out my supplies from InstaScrap collection by Leeza Gibbons and completed this under 15 minutes. Love the various sizes of the ATC cards in this collection and also the water-colour effect + calligraphy on the cards.

I made a layout with the quote 'Keep Going' which is very suitable for my current hectic schedule…. I just gotta breath in and out, and keep going =)

P.S: Just in case you are wondering, this pink vintage tappy of mine has really amazing cursive fonts! And no, I don't see myself destashing this in the long run, it is PINK, and it is in pretty cursive font! No way I could sell it!

When we have a blog hop, it normally comes with a G-I-V-E-A-W-A-Y right? I love Instascrap collection so much that I would like to share some of the goodies with you. All you need to do is to leave a comment on my blog post to win this prize pack that includes a Julie Nutting cling stamp, 45 ATC cards from InstaScrap collection and some random Prima flowers.

Happy NSD and have fun blog hopping! Remember to leave a comment to stand to win the prize pack pictured above!

EDITED: I will pick a winner on 11 May 2014 8am PST and post it on the blog! Thanks again for leaving lovely comments =))

Layouts⎪Happy NSD *Elle's Studio*

Happy May Day! And today is National Scrapbooking Day. So let's celebrate NSD with Elle's Studio by checking out the blog for tonnes of inspirations and giveaways! Who doesn't love giveaway with all the yummy goodies? And also, there is a 'FREE SHIPPING' promotion for orders over $50.

p.s.: do check out Elle's Studio shop for the Spring Sales and items that are on discounts!

Since today is NSD, so I am trying to stay away from clean & simple layouts. I didn't have much time to make scrapbooking pages recently but after watching Wilna's video tutorial on creating lovely pages with paint strokes cut files. I was too cheapskate hrmm.. i mean lazy got pull out my Cameo to cut those paint strokes, so I just started squeezing Martha Stewart Acrylic paint onto the white card stocks and spread them rather unevenly with craft sticks.

And here was how I started. I pull out almost all the Marthe Stewart paints that I have in my stash and arrange them accordingly to create a pastel rainbow! Pastel + rainbow is soooooo me!

p.s. After I have started spreading a thick layer of paint onto the card stock, i sort of regretted. I do agreed painting on the Paint stroke cut files is way easier and the paper will not warp / buckle! Note to self: next time I shall not be too lazy to pull out my Cameo!

And here's my layout:
It is so fun to have inky fingers and once the layout is done, this instantly became one of my favourite layouts. And I am going to gift this layout to my parents because this photo of them is just too sweet!

I also tried my best to coordinate colour of the embellishments with the paint strokes. I colour those wood veneers that are from Love You More collections with acrylic paint.

For this layout, I used a lot of Cut Outs, Bits & Pieces, Wood Veneers and papers from Love You More collection which you can find in the shop.

And do remember, since today is NSD, as a scrapbooker, you should scrap and also shop till you drop!
