Planners⎪Vellum Divider for My Sunshine

Hello there! If you follow me on Instagram (@happiescrappie) you will see a lot of planner-related post popping up on your feed. Ah yes, I have gotten my very first planner - A medium sized Kikki K in mint / gold dots back in October 2013 and I am hooked ever since. And my humble collection is slowly growing. When Trina asked me if I could do a blog post about planner, I was so thrilled because I can finally share my obsession with all the CTK subbers!

The picture below shows my humble collection of vintage typewriter and planners. And I have two more planners on my way (pre-ordering them from Amazon at really great price but the waiting period is 1-2 months).

If you are interested in what are the planners that I am using now, watch the video here

This month Citrus Twist Kits has all the fun colours that go so well with Summer themed. It is summer all year long in Malaysia & Singapore but it is still fun to play with all the vibrant colours. I decided to use the leftover from my July Pocket Life kit to make some planner dividers for my Filofax original yellow.

I wanted the background of the divider to be really plain (so that the colour would pop), so I trimmed down 6 pieces of vellums into Personal sized (approximately 3.75 inch x 6.75inch).  I just add some mini cards from Simple Stories and Elle's Studio stickers on the vellum, then laminate the vellum. And it is really easy that I love how the elements look like they are floating on my planner.

You can actually see-thru what's behind the divider.

This divider is made using the die cut from Amy Tangerine dies (which is available at Citrus Twist Store).

Just in case you are wondering, why did I added a thin stripe of washi tapes to the edge. Its not for enforcement the dividers, thats because the stupid me, has forgotten to adjust the gap of the rings on my Rakuten punch, and punch them wrongly and I ended  up with 12 holes on each dividers after punched twice.

I only spend 15-20 minutes making the dividers and I really like how easy and colourful they are. I hope this post inspires some of you (who are planner nerds) like me use the left over form your Citrus Twist Kits to make your own divider.

Happie Planner⎪Reveal Day of Hey Foxy!

Hello lovelies,

I just realised my last blog post was on 1st of July when I show you the sneaks of Happie Planner July kit and today its already 15th July! Or it is already 16th July in Malaysia =) So here you go, this month kits - Hey Foxy, is a kit with all the cute and chubby critters like Foxes, Penguins and Bears. This kit is simply too cute for words. It has a wide range of sticky memos, handmade clips, page flags, stickers and all the fun goodies to jazz up your planner / filofax.

This is the Happie Planner A5 kit - Hey Foxy (selling at USD15.99 + shipping) which has some cute chubby animals that I am currently obsessed with.

Details of the kits:

A selection of forest critters sticky notes (total 15 designs of sticky memos and page flags).
- Chubby critters (bear, fox, chicken & penguin)
- Squirrel
- 3 designs of animal page marker
- 6 designs of forest critters page flags

1 x plastic books marks (random selection)
2 x handmade felt + cork bow clips (Green & Orange)
4 x small metal clips
1 x animal shaped binder clip (random design)
5 x pastel plastic tabs (in 5 colors)
1 x forest critters puffy sticker sheet
1 x forest theme with girls puffy sticker sheet
2 x diary stickers sheets (random selection)
2 sheets of enforcement rings in pink & orange (total 70 enforcement rings)
13 x masking sticker sheet in pastel version (random selection)
1 x Forest themed black gel pen (0.5mm)
1 x brown/bronze skinny washi tape (7.5mm x 5m)

Love the bright orange and green bow clips that we made and included in the kit.

This month we would provide you a piece of transparent dashboard in A5 sized (with holes punched, so these are ready to be slotted it into your planner right away). The kit is so full that we couldn't fit all the sticky memos onto the dashboard. So you can customise the board with the sticky memos included in the kit with your own preference. Easy peasy!

P.S.: The Filofax Original in Fluoropink is not included in the kit. I really wish i couldn't include a planner at this price though ;P

And here's the Happie Planner Personal kit - Hey Foxy (USD 12.99 + Shipping). Other than the chubby animal sticky memos, I absolutely adore the black gel pen that came with the kit. It writes smoothly and with rubber grip that makes writing for long hours comfortable. And the bonus is it has really cute design despite being functional!

For this month kit, you will get the following items:

A selection of forest critters sticky notes (total 14 designs of sticky memos and page flags).

***

For those who have want to know more about Happie Planner kit, I would like to show you more about the ideas behind of putting this kit together and also pictures  our June Kit - in personal sized and A5 sized, which has already sold out.

Happie Scrappie is going to launch a monthly Happie Planner kit which has a selection of planner products that has coordinating theme and variations in each kit. The idea of having a planner kit is to allow all the happie planners to get a bit of a lot of things, and the kits will include selection sample of products, just what is needed.

Each Happie Planner Kit includes:

  • assortment of sticky notes and tabs
  • stickers
  • masking stickers / washi tape
  • pen
  • clips / blinders

So on each month a kit will be launched for personal and A5 planners, some products will be available in both of the kits, while others are unique to that kit only. And also there will be very limited number of add-ons available coordinating with the kits/theme for that month.

our idea is to make the products easily available for your planning needs. we've done the hard work of finding just the right products, having a fun selection to use and most of all, they're all readily available on a dashboard so you can pop these right into your planner.

In June kit, we stick all the sticky memos and page flags onto the dashboard for both Personal and A5 sized. When you receive you kit, all you need to do is to put it into you binder and it is always handy for you to jazz up your planner.

This is the A5 sized Happie Planner - June kit which has slightly different products than the personal sized kit.

We also try to include handmade items to either our main kit or add ons. In June, we included two handmade bow clips to each kit and also added a felt Bunny clip to our add-ons.

For those who has placed an order of the June kits, all kits has been shipped and do tag me on Instagram @happiescrappie & #happieplanner! I would love to see how you use them on your planner. Also, if you have any enquiries or feedback, do drop us an email here: shop.happiescrappie@gmail.com.

Also, would like to show you my very first speaking video on YouTube - I hope I sound alright other than being super nervous.

Have fun & happie planning!

p.s. I am now waiting for my 4th filofax and cannot wait to show you my latest additions!

Randoms⎪Currently Obsessed With...

I just realised my blog is pretty dead, which I only post scrapbooking projects, Project Life pages and some random tutorials, if I ever made one. Instagram is killing my blog as Instagramming is way easier to post and get likes + comments than blogging. That pretty much conclude why I got addicted since January 2013.

So now, my 'new month resolution' is:
1. To blog more, even if its shorter blog post
2. To come up with more tutorials / crochet patterns (if I could find time)
3. To make videos, hopefully I could practice to speak while I am recording. I am just too embarrassed with my accent.

So this blog post pretty much summarises my current obsession about crochet, stationeries and also planner! I have never blogged anything about my pens, my washi tapes and my planners here. I am hoping to blog more about my planner set up and decorations, although I am nvery very new in this planner world! I have been watching a lot of videos on youtube to brush upend pick up new things, trying to see what works and don't work for me ;)

Happiest picture on my Instagram feed, ever ;) Blue or Pink? I am currently obsessed with the pink  Kate Spade planner though. I got it from eBay, which Beth (my IG friend) helped me search for it. I am just not good with ebay!

Nothing beats a smiley toddler right? He was grinning ear to ear last night when he successfully wear the finger puppet on his finger.

I love printing my own stickers using Silhouette Print and Cut function. You can find more tutorials here and here

Also obsessed with crocheting Instagram-inspired pouch for keeping my Fujifilm Instax SHARE from scratch free. If you are interested, I have listed them on my Big Cartel.

After two days of cleaning and purging, I finally have a clean desk, and most importantly clean floor! Boxes and piles and piles of supplies were piling up on the floor that my husband saids that it looked like a war zone. That was so embarrassing!

When I have a clean desk, I would just keep posting photos and photos of my clutter free workspace on Instagram. So sorry if I've flooded your IG feed, I just couldn't help it! Also, I just started using my Smiggle notebook (in a cute apple shaped) as my everyday To-Do list, it just makes more sense to me than writing my to do list down on my planner. I am just lazy to open my planner and keep it on my desk all the time.

And I have this little boy who has just started to walk with support. Pushing carts and chairs is his favourite activity nowadays. Or he would hold our fingers and keep walking and walking around the house.

Currently also obsessed with setting up my camera to take videos for scrapbooking and crochet. Still tweaking and see what works best for me. Here, using a bulky, expensive Manfrotto tripod that I borrow from my brother. I couldn't spread the 3 legs wide on the table because my desk has this little shelf that blocks its way.

Then I found this huge yellow clip that is meant for holding iPhone in a gadget shop. It looks like a fishing rod here lol! Trying to see if it works and I will keep you updated! Hoping that it works so I don't have the tripod legs on my way when I am scrapping.

P.s. the little basket on the bottom left corner is where I keep my planners and notebooks that I am currently using, with a Orla Kiely for Target travel pouch that Beth got for me, to hold all (or most) of the stickers and post its that I always use.

Promise, I am gonna post this easy-peast crochet amigrumi pattern up, real soon.

Trying out color-coding for my Kate Spade planner. It just doesn't work for me, guess I am using too many colours or some said, it takes a white to get used to the colour codes. Since I am using this system, I have been forever looking for matching pens and washi tapes when I am planning my weeks. Not too efficient for me!

My first time joining a CAL (Crochet Along) by the amazingly talented Poppy & Bliss and My Poppet. It was fun but I am stuck at the second post of the CAL.

Someone tagged me on Facebook after she read an article about #stationeryaddict. And here I am, staring at the neon index label. which I am also currently obsessed with. P.S. I didn't buy those pens in this photo, I got them from my previous house owner. I found them in the drawer when I move this new house.

And COLETO! I currently have 4 barrels of Pilot Coleto loaded, and have 3 extra brand new sets. Was asking for hubby's opinion if I should sell the extra sets, because i simply cannot use all of them! I have a very loving husband who suggests I should keep all these for myself and maybe he was thinking I would be just content with these pens and no more buying pens in the future. I afraid not! Lol

And two is always better than one ;) Or maybe I need a third one?

In love with the tiny 2x2 pockets that I used for my May 2014 Project Life page. Just in case you are wondering, these aren't conventional PL sleeve, they are coin protector that I got from Amazon. I collage four square photos and print them on a 4x6. Each photo printed slightly smaller than 2x2 which is just perfect for me!

These are the Pilot Juice and Pilot Frixion that I got from Japan. Now I am trying to see where I could get them at reasonable price because I need more pens (in a set if possible) hehehe

Roller stamps. with date or without dates are all my fave! And I also have room for more stamps. I got this spinner rack from my in-law's office, you can also get them from old school stationery shop.

Do you like to see my random post more? I would definitely try to blog more if you would like to see them ;)
