Layouts | I Love You A Bushel & A Peck

Hello everyone! Today I am gonna share a layout that I scrap lift one of my older layouts that I did 2 years ago. Here's the blog post that I blog about the layout and its fun to see how my style progress over the years - it has definitely became more minimalist nowadays - maybe thats because I have more things going on in my life, and layouts and scrapbook pages are the places where I could keep it simple and minimalist.

I used the Hello 2014 large tags to mat the three pictures on the left. love that these tags are perfect for my square pictures of 2.5'x2.5'. I also used one full sheet of Snip Snip label to create the tags on the right and stitched them down with sewing machine.

I added some puffy stickers to create some interest around the pictures too.

I think this is my favourite layout that I have created recently. It's quick and simple, yet it looks kinda complicated ;) Thanks for dropping by and I  hope you are inspired to create a tag / label layout too!

Layouts | Let Me Show You Some Typewriter Love

Hello everyone! Today I am so thrilled to show you one of the layout and another decorated notebook that I make using my beloved typewriter stamps from Shop Evalicious.

This is actually a very simple layout because I really love the photos that 4 of us recently (yes 4 of us as we are expecting a new baby in July ;)) I love the big bright smile from my hubs and my son - too too sweet. Since I wanted the typewriter image to be the focal point of the page, I stamp 4 of these on a piece of white card stock, paint it with Neocolors (or any watercolour) and fussy cut it.

Once I am done with some layering and photo matting, I added the 4 pieces of typewriter stamped image, add the alphabet letter stickers on it as title. I also decided to add some sewing machine stitching to add subtle texture to the title - and also to secure the puffy stickers from falling off =)

I completed this layout under an hour - colouring and fussing cutting the typewriter probably took up most of my time. Then I decided to stamp the typewriter on one of my notebook on my Happiedori / fauxdori. Stamp it, colour it with prisma colour pencils and add some puffy sticker - Voila! So simple & pretty!

Layout | My Art Journal Pages + Selfie *LoraBailora*

Hello people, I had a good news that I shared on my instagram a while ago ;)

YEs yes, I am one of the DT girl for Lora Bailora Design Team. I am so proud to be on this crazily talented team. Laura is a sweet Spanish girl who designs her own line of stamps and embellishments. I started follow her on her Instagram ages ago when I started instagram, say 2 years ago. I am always in awe with her talents and cute designs. So you guess I was literally  jumping in joy when she emailed me to invite me to join her amazing team. I love stamps as they are perfect for scrapbooking, card making, project life and also for planning purpose, plus they don't take up a whole lot of space which I could hoard them forever! LOL.

p.s. I also have a thing for Spanish as my hubs used to learn Spanish and stayed there for 6 months ;) So whenever someone commented Spanish on my instagram feed, he will translate the comments for me.

Here's one of my art journaling using the geometric stamp. This page was to journal something bad happened and I spoke to one my good friend (DIYFish) on Facebook about it. Can't thank her enough for her words of wisdom so I decided to pair these cute triangles in the Geometric stamp set with her words of wisdom: No matter what you do, how good you are, you can NEVER please everyone. So true and i just have to learn being perfect + stop stressing myself out. I stamped the various sizes and patterns of triangles using Versa Color cube. I have these cute little ink cubes in almost all the shades and keep them all in 2 boxes of Ferrero Rocher box.

Next up would be scrapbook page that I made the quilt-inspired background with Geometric stamp set again. I can't seem to get enough of the cute triangle patterns yet. I stamped rows and rows of chevron triangles on 1/2 pieces of white card stock to have a balanced background. I like that the left side of the background is crazily colourful and the right side has pretty white space. I love how the white space balance out the rainbow triangles and help drawing your eyes to the background instead. This is a photo of me and my boy during his very first Zoo trip. On a side note, we were so excited to bring him to see the real lion but when we reach the lion den, the lions were all taking nap.ZZZzzz. And we wanted to bring him to see elephants instead but little boy was way past his nap time and started getting grumpy and yawning all the way. So we went home without visiting the elephants. Anyways, I am hoping to go to the zoo again and I am sure he could benefit a lot from seeing the REAL ANIMALS than seeing them on Youtube =)

Remember to check out Laura's etsy store to get her stamps and embellishments here. She has such a cute little store!

Alrighty, I am sure you could tell I am pretty crazy about triangles right now, don't ask me why ;) I hope you enjoy looking at my pages and you have a great day!
Thanks again for dropping by!

Blog Hop | Elle's Studio Sycamore Lane

Hello all! Today Elle's studio and the DT girls have a fun inspiration blog to showcase the new collections : Sycamore Lane and Good Cheer. I am loving the geometric patterns in Sycamore lane so I decided to use this collection in one of my favourite photo + layout here.

I like the tribe; / geometric pattern of this pattern paper so I want to use it to make a bold background. I cut the pattern paper into 4 triangles and piece them onto a piece of white card stock. Then I place the photo in the centre of the layout to make it pop.

Loving how the Bits and Pieces matched with the pattern papers from the collection so well.

I hardly scrapped recently because life gets really crazy since September. But when I do have some me-time, i enjoy sitting in front of my desk to play with papers and scissors. Here are the two layouts that I made using Elle' Studio Sycamore Lane and the October kit.

I love the journaling card that said TOGETHER - the best place to be and decided to use it as the title of this page. I am loving that tribal print and geometric design (like Triangle) is back in this Fall. So I cut apart the triangle patterned paper and use it as the main embellishment of my layout. I also added a little house cork stickers on the journaling card to draw your eyes to the title.

And here's another layout that is inspired by the Fall colours - purple / orange/ yellow. Not so much of a purple and orange person but I am loving this layout turned out.

I created my background with some Faber Castell Gelato and added the coordinated colour tag from Sycamore Lane. A little bit of journaling and embellishment to add some finishing touches to the page. I am glad how this colour combination actually grow on me ;)

I have another THANKFUL mini book that I created under an hour that I am gonna show you guys in the next blog post. Thanks for dropping by and do remember to check out Elle's Studio site for the lovely goodies.

Layouts | Special Request From The Hubs *Elle's Studio*

As I was browsing my photo gallery on my phone while missing our little one in KL (as we were on a business trip in Shanghai), I show hubs a pic of him and Ivan in Singapore Zoo. Isn't this photo the cutest that would worth a a million dollar when Ivan grow up in the future?

The hubs was asking why didn't I scrap this photo into a 12x12 layout? Hahahah… That i just because I haven't been scrapping much lately + didn't keep up with scrapping my recent photos.

I want the photo and the title to be the main focal point of the layout, So I didn't add much embellishments to the page. I just like the page as it is. Repeating the title 3 times using Elle's Studio Letter & Number stickers and adding a few tags from the September kit. Still loving how the layout and photo go so well with all the minimal embellies.

Repeatinf the title 3 times using  3 different colours of Elle's Studio Letter & Number stickers, on a piece of ruffle paper by American Crafts.

Sprinkle some sequins and added a few paint splatter. Ta-dah. A simple layout that would melt my heart every time I look at it. Thanks for looking. Do remember to check out the Elle's Studio DT gallery for more awesome inspiration.

Scraplifted LO for My Dearest Papa & Mama

I sort of scrap lifted this layout from Amy Tangerine's LO. Her work is simple & chic. Find some inspirations by read more of her projects here.

This is the original layout created by Amy Tangerine. Click here to find the original post.

Here's my take on scrap lifted hers. Super easy and it only took me 30 minutes to complete the page. One of my fastest LO ever. hahaha. I'm a super slow scrapbooker who take a day or two to complete a single layout.
Super love the smile on my mum & dad's face
I sort of stamping the mug stain by coloring the bottom of the mug with watercolor. I should have used distress ink instead. This is definitely less messy =) Silly me!

My usual have: AC Thickers in foam

My favorite embellishment in the LO. it's like tying the every bits of the layout together, literally. hehehe. And I love how i managed to use those left of scraps from my stash. It's like i made the tag using one the leftover patterned paper from one of the workshop i attended.

I love how well the layout turn out and I will definitely scrap more layout like this in the future. XoXo

Post Scrapbooking Marathon...

After 8 hours of scrapbooking marathon yesterday (yes, two session of 3-hour-workshop, and each workshop extended for an hour or so...) i finally completed the 3 layouts from one of the workshop - DS-Krafty. Love love love all the 3 layouts designed by Sharon!

Here's my finished layout:

The 1st LO: Nutty love
This picture totally melts my heart. One of my dog Mister Peanut kept bullying my fostered puppy BuBu for the first few days. Then there was one day Peanut decided to get close to Bubu and this shot was taken after they messed around on our bed.

The buttons, cloud chipboard + rub-ons, pin wheels cut-out are super cute

Signed up for this class because of star trek-patterned. It was created using baker twine and brads.

Oh, I also absolutely adore playing with the yellow MayaRoad mist. Love the effect of the mist and stamping the bubbles with red acrylic paint + eyelets.

This is the 2nd LO: Cheeky Chaplin.
The picture was taken in Universal Studios Singapore with my dog-rescuer friend GK. We had so much fun camwhoring + queuing up for Battlestar rides + do some crazy stuffs. I added some turquoise color embellishment / pattern paper to match the color of my GK's jeans.

Oh, I added the HoeGarden bottle cap and stamp the bottle-cap-shaped "ENJOY". Love the way it turned out!

My first time using glitter powder as well! Martha Stewart's glitter powder are so glittery + fine. And using the double-sided tape to stick the glitter powder is such a brilliant idea! I guess we can create the same glitter border effect by using the glitter card stock since I am not a big fans of embossing powder + glitter powder. Too messy to do at home though >_<

The 3rd LO: New Friends
This picture was taken at my very first new friend - Fern's place. Her 2 doggies Ace & Angel are absolutely adorable as there are times I couldn't differentiate who's who. They look alike since they are siblings!

This dedicated to Fern. She is an amazing animal communicator! Ink the circle with distress ink so that the words popped out.

Used green colored Thickers to match the color of Fern's top

The bobbin is my favorite in this LO. But gosh! its so bulky that I find it so difficult to keep in my album =>

That's all for yesterday's Krafty Class. I have yet to complete the album that I made yesterday at Laine's. Will definitely share the window-album once it's done.
