Layout⎪Grateful For You *Made With Love*

Hello Hello! I can't even remember today is already 30th June which mean we are done with 1/2 of 2014 now! OMG. I can't stress enough how times just flew by after I have Ivan. 24 hours a day is never enough for a SAHM (ahem… maybe I should switch to WFHM - work from home mom now since I also have a little online shop hehehe). June is a super busy month since we have just launch the June Happie Planner Kit  and thank you for all the overwhelming responses. And also, thank you for all the 11,000 followers on Instagram. ELEVEN THOUSAND!!! I didn't even think I would make it to 5-figure followers. As the hubs said, I must be really lucky to have so many followers as he didn't think what I am doing everyday is impressive. LOL.

** I just realise I have forgotten to announce one of my recent Giveaway winner for Big Picture Class. **drum roll**

Congrats Karen Ruiz! please contact me to claim your prize! **

Okay, enough of my ramblings, and I just want to show you a pretty pastel layout that I made using all the goodies that I get from Made With Love, Singapore. Using a lot of Webster's Pages, Allison Kreft and Heidi Swapp goodies here. So here you go, a fun pastel layout that I finally use a piece of patterned paper as background. I always use white cardstocks as background and this time I decided to switch things up and use a piece of patterned paper from Webster's Pages as background instead.

Since I am a planner addict, so I grab a pack of Sticky memos from Heidi Swapp. And they are so cute that I use it as the main layering / embellishments for the layout.

The cute little fox and hot air balloon are from a piece of Allison Kreft's paper that I fussy cut from. It is just super adorable!

Supplies used:
Papers - Webster's Pages (Hello World)
Embellishments - Heidi Swapp (Epoxy Phrases & Sticky Memos)
Others - Tiny Attacher, Sewing Machine, Sequins

Just in case you are wondering, you can get all the supplies stated above (other than sequins and sewing machine) from Made With Love, Singapore. That place is a crafters' heaven! Thanks for looking.

Layout⎪Using My Favourite Supplies + Giveaway *Made With Love*

Hello there, it's been busy (but in a good way) in May. I am pretty amazed with how much I have created and how many blog post I have published this month given my crazy schedule. Time is always not enough nowadays and I have decided to cut down my design team works so that I could spend more time with Ivan. I really want to enjoy his toddlerhood more + I do not want to turn scrapping into a chore for me.

Today I am back with a layout that I made for Made With Love, with a simple challenge. Firstly, I would like to show you 3 of my favourite things whenever I create. Okay, three seems too little and I am sure I have like hundreds of favourite things, or maybe everything from scrapbook store. After spending  hours picking my supplies, I narrow down my list to these three:
1. Puffy stickers! the puffier the better ;P and also enamel dots
2. Vellum Die Cuts
3. Distress Paints

Okay okay, I know there are four here, but I just want to group puffy stickers and enamel dots together.

And here's what I created with the supplies mentioned above, heavily inspired by Wilna's recent video. I wanted to have colour paints over the black patterned paper from Amy Tangerine which is totally opposite from what Wilna made in her video.

I started typing the quote on my Silhouette Studio using the font CoCoGoose and arrange the alignment and cut it on a piece of smooth white card stock. Paint the rainbow colour using Distress Paints and layer it over a piece of black patterned paper from May Tangerine PlusOne collection. I love that distress paints are thick and vibrant, and it doesn't make the paper buckle at all.

Once I am done, I printed really small photos (3 photo in a piece of 4x6 photo paper) and lay it above the title. Added some vellum die cuts, enamel dots, puffy stickers and die cut that I made with eBosser + Cas-ual Friday dies then I am good to go.

During busy days, I really love how a quick + simple layout turn out to be.

And now more details about the challenge + giveaway:
1. Take a photo of your project (be it old or new layout) using one of the favourite supplies that I have mentioned above.
2. Post it on Instagram and hashtag #mwldtchallenge @madewithlovesg
3. You Instagram profile has to be public + you must be living in Singapore.
4. A winner will be pick from all the IG entries on 26 May 2014.

Have fun and all the best!

Layout⎪Proud Moment *Made With Love*

Do you remember I posted some Prima Marketing Quick Dry Chalk Edgers (the teal one) and Resist Chalk Edger a while ago? I had so many of these and I decided to update the ink swatch chart. These chalk ink edgers are available at Made With Love Singapore.

And this place would be my Rainbow Heaven, if only I could bring home all these paints, enamel dots and mediums. Made With Love is gonna have a Medium Madness Day on 12th April, do remember to click here to check on the sign up details.

This is what I got from Made With Love this month, my DT kit and also me stocking up on adhesive crazily. And did I mention I have gotten a WeRMemoryKeepers tab punch too?

This week sketch inspiration layout is by yours truly. I was browsing Citrus Twist Kits blog for some sketch inspiration and fell in love with this. I love how the layering and weight is placed on the upper part of the layout and the bottom is just white space.

This is what I created after being inspired by the sketch:

I scrapped this photo of Ivan upon completing his one-year-old class at Shichida. He was holding his weekly homework folder proudly. I keep the layering super busy, with a lot of layers, chipboard, and also background with stencils.

I dated the layout with Pebbles Inc Roller Date Stamp and also heat embossed with Versamark & Ranger Embossing Powder in Orange.

Just gotta love these enamel dots and the flair badge from Pretty Little Studio.

All the supplies are listed below and could be found at Made With Love! Thanks for looking!

Supplies used:
Papers - American Crafts, Echo Park Paper
Embellishments - Puffy stickers (American Crafts), Enamel dots (American Crafts), Chipboard stickers (Basic Grey), American Crafts Thickers, Alpha sticker (Studio Calico), Flair Badges (Pretty Little Studio),

Layout⎪Hello My Name Is … *Made With Love*

Welcome to Made With Love Design Team members Blog Hop. From February onwards, we change the way we posted our monthly assignment and blog hopping a little. So now, Each week one of the DT girls will be given the spotlight as they share more about themselves. And this week it's my turn!

So let's get started with 5 things you might (or might not) know about me:

1) I can only scrap and create at night. When I said night, that means after 12midnight (graveyard shift ;)) Daytime is too busy and overwhelming for me, plus there are a lot of distractions too. Isn't that a common habit for a lot of crafters and designers to work at night? So I normally craft (and sometimes go online) till 4-5am, feed baby and go to bed around 6am. I am lucky that I have my in-laws and mum to take over the morning shift i.e. take care of Ivan in the morning while I charge my batter.

2) I am friendly but it would take a while to warm up with me. Then I would share everything and anything with you. When I don't smile or don't talk, I look very defensive.

3)  I like to scrap with some white noise in the background i.e. watching Chinese match making shows or Taiwanese variety shows. Don't ask me why I am addicted to those match making shows, I just love to watch them. Sometimes I would watch scrapbooking or art journals video tutorials when I am crafting too. I just cant craft without background noise, but no music please. I don't really listen to songs or musics.

4) I don't have a favourite colour but my favourite colour scheme would be pastel. I am currently obsessed with purple, since I saw Carta Bella Wild Flower collection by Kaitlin Sheaffer. The use of purple colours with other autumish colour  is just brilliant.

5) Other that scrapbooking (mainly doing layouts, Project Life and some random mini books), I crochet amigurumi, do wonky sewing with my beloved sewing machine, practise Modern Calligraphy and also do random watercoloring with my Gelatos / Inktense pencils / Distress Markers. And I cannot draw. hahahaha

These are some of my random facts and I hope that you don't font them boring. Would love to share more because it is just fun to share! Not limited to projects, but also love to share some random bits of my life + photos of Ivan.

Here's what I have made for Made With Love this month:

When I got my DT kit for February assignment and saw the cute scrabble tiles that spell out in Ivan's name, I thought of the title right away! I want the title to be' Hello, my name is IVAN SIEW'. lol. So I scroll through my 13,000 of photos in my iPhone and found this cute photo of him playing with flowers during our Sunday brunch session.

I love these flair badges by October Afternoon. So I lined them up next to the photo, in order to use as many as I could in my page.

Close-up of the scrabble tiles - do grab as many as you can from MAde With Love store! They are selling out fast especially common letters like A,E,I,O etc. I remember seeing a girl at the store couldn't complete her friend's name because the letter A was sold out ;P

And these are the card + tag that I have made and as usual, i keep my cards as simple as possible so that I could mail them flat.

Here's a tag that I made using scraps and bits from the DT kit and also my stash. Enamel dots, deer wood veneer and the cloud stamp is from my stash..

Thanks for looking! Remember to get these supplies from Made With Love store! They have new arrivals on every Thursday, just in case you are not aware of this! XoXo <3

Layout⎪Hello Hello Hello 2014 *Made With Love*

Hippo Hooray!! I have a great news to share here! I have been picked as Elle's Studio Design Team members for 1st half of 2014. I am so honoured to be part of this amazing team! God knows how much I love Elle's Studio bright coloured products ;))

This is my first layout for Made With Love for January 2014. I finally broke out my Cameo and start die cutting some white card stocks to be used as embellishments / titles for my pages. Can you believe this layout was created while my 9-month old was sitting on my lap? When I was arranging the papers and embellishments, he would try to help (as usual) and at times shook his head. I wonder of he show disagreement with the arrangement of the elements? >_< Who knows he might turn out to be a great scrapbooker when he grow up since he has been scrapping next to me since baby.

I Love the water-colour washed-out effect on the chevron paper by Pink Paislee. So I arranged the three die cut 'HELLO' and add some water-colour subtly by following the colour scheme of the patterned paper.

P1021478

As usual, I would layer patterned papers under my photo as photo mat and cluster embellishments (die cuts, stickers etc) around the photo. And most of the time, layering stickers or embellies over my photo is a must for me. Apparently I am not too worried about affecting my photo in the future, it is just one of my scrapbooking habit that i NEED to layer over the photo. Do you do that or you always try to avoid putting anything on your photo?

P1021479

And here are the 2 love themed cards that I made using my DT kit. Love the ampersand papers from Studio Calico and also Crate Paper 'Love Note'. I have always prone to create simple and less bulky cards because they are easier to be mailed.

Layout⎪Merry *Made With Love*

Hello there, Happy Friday! Today the DT girls from Made With Love (MWL) Singapore are having a mini blog hop showing our monthly assignments.

I have made 1 layout and 2 cards using my December DT kit. I didn't have any *current* christmas photo so I went to take photo of a huge Christmas tree at Takashimaya after I collected my DT kit at Made With Love. Loving this year the theme of the Christmas tree this year - which is decorated with many many Tiffany & Co. blue boxes. The design of this layout is inspired by the ornaments hanging on the christmas tree. I want to crete a layout with the design of hanging photos, banners and embellishments.

PC031304

I sprinkled baby powder to the back of the stickers to remove the adhesive / tackiness. So the stickers would just hand on the thread like ornaments. I also added sequin pocket behind the red Polaroid die cut by Jillibean Soup.

PC031306

I cut a piece of 3x4 white cardstock and embossed it with my beloved eBosser using Craftwell embossing folder - Delicate Dots. It just looks like snowing ;)

PC031307

I have been sprinkling star sequins everywhere in my recent projects. Star sequins are simply perfect for any christmas projects. These are available at my BigCartel.  The word 'blissful' is stamped using Pebble Inc giant roller stamps, after being enabled by Kasia T.

PC031308

And here are the two cards that I have made. The first card is made using the same sketch and design as the layout. I whipped this out under 5 minutes.

Layout⎪Hello Sunshine *Made With Love*

Hello there, Happy Friday! Today the DT girls from Made With Love (MWL) Singapore are having a mini blog hop showing our monthly assignments.

I have made 1 layout and 2 cards using my November DT kit. Loving the bright colours from this month kit - mainly green & yellow, plus there are a number of polka dots papers! I am obsessed with polka dots recently after I have gotten a pack of 100 pieces of polka dots fabric from a Japanese handicraft magazine - Couturier. FYI, I can't read Japanese but I enjoy looking at the pretty projects in awe.

Here's my layout using some random, daily photos of my Mr. Sunshine. I have received plenty of comments from friends and Instagram followers saying how smiley Ivan is. *Feeling so so blessed to have a happy baby now*

PB071065

Told ya, its all about polka dots! Any ideas how many sheets polka dots papers have been used on this layout? Its a total of 4 different Polka Dots papers from Echo Park Paper Co. Other than dots, I was also obsessed with frames in this layout - from the cute polaroid frame die cut card stock (by Jillibean soup) to framing the die-cut with grey & yellow pattern papers! Talk about obsession here.

PB071068

Each frame could fit a 2'x2' photo so I just printed 4 instagram photos of Ivan and added them behind the die cut randomly, Yes, the keyword is randomly. That's how I normally scrap when there isn't any sketch or design to follow. I just let the products inspired me.

PB071070

Dressing each frame up with different patterned papers. And the title is a combination of stamped image (Hello os from Studio G stamp) and Thickers from Amy Tangerine. I color the word 'Sun' with my yellow mildliner to create some interest.

PB071069

Do you know you could buy loose embellishments like kraft tags, pockets, flairs and paper clips at Made With Love. Go check out this cute heart shaped paper clip at MWL store. I wanted to paint the clip in white but before I could grab my white paint, my little one has woke up from his nap. So I just left it as it is and glue it down with Beacon glue.

PB071071

And I also made 2 cards from this month kit. I punch 3 different sizes of circles from my scrap paper and made this card. Using up your scrap is what scrapbooking all about right?

PB071074

Another card made from scrap & strips from the previous layout. I zig-zag stitch the paper strips and glue it down to my white card base. Easy-peasy. Then I layered the butterfly and sentiments chipboard stickers from me & my BIG ideas Chips. I hardly make cards nowadays but no one could bear throwing away all these pretty scraps right?

PB071073
